Joe chose this SC Justice using the exact same process he used to choose his VP.

If you like Kamala...you're gonna love Ketanji!

Lets be blunt then, shall we?

We have "Brown vagina" as a Veep and a "Brown vagina" as a Supreme Court nominee.

I couldn't say...I'm not a gynecologist.

Not to get off topic, but I always wanted to be a gynecologist.

I heard there were a lot of openings.

When I interviewed I was told I wasn't qualified...but I certainly had plenty of spunk.

I thought the "FREE PELVIC EXAMS" spray painted on the side of your van was a nice and professional touch.

Oh and Ketanji Jackson molested me in college.

Unfortunately, I have no idea about her judicial record other than what is stated above. But I have lost faith in my institutions so if she is confirmed or not makes little difference to me.

So, if a case comes before the SC involving gender identity she will make her decision based on what established biological science says?
I'm skeptical.

The Woke should be very angry with her...but are silent.

I am with you. She sounds like a wokie in disguise but I have no evidence.

The only thing I have picked up on from my woke friends on FB is how brave she is. She's so brave. Sitting there in a chair, dodging questions. I guess just being alive and existing is enough to qualify as brave for them. Of course if I sat there in a chair, evading direct answers, I would be a Nazi. Very convenient.

So, let's talk a bit about the Supreme Court confirmation hearing from the other day.

Biden Supreme Court nominee, Ketanji Brown Jackson, was asked by Senator Marsha Blackburn...

“Can you provide a definition for the word ‘woman’?”

...to which, Ketanji replied:

"I can't...I’m not a biologist."

This is being interpreted as Biden's far left nominee for the Supreme Court evading the touchy topic of personal gender identity.

HOWEVER...

Biology and, by extension, biologists...universally and scientifically define the difference between sexes as having either XX or XY chromosomes.

Isn't this actually Biden's far Left nominee stating that she believes that, NOT the individual, but ONLY a BIOLOGIST is able to define whether a person is a man or a woman?

It sure seems so.

Why aren't the woke condemning her for this?

They aren't condemning her because that is beginning to be a Leftist rally cry for some strange reason -"are you a biologist?" because, "science"... science of the politically oriented variety, of course.

Last night Tucker Carlson showed a video from some swim competition where a man was playing at being a woman in order to increase his competitive edge with his man-muscles against women. A woman in the stands made a comment about him being a man, and immediately some Woke Warrior pounced on her and asked her "are you a biologist?". She replied "I'm not a veterinarian, either, but I still know what a dog is".

smallrofl

You are committing an act of Wrongthink in asserting that actual biologists define gender by chromosomes. That is a little too much like actual science. Clearly, those biologists have not vetted their wacky ideas through the Political Kommisars to find out if those ideas conform with, you know, actual science. Only Political Kommissars can tell us scientific fact, not those pesky scientists.

She is a judge, and therefore instead of blaming "science", she should have given the judicial definition of "woman" instead, because that is her alleged area of expertise. Unless I miss my guess, the legal definition of "woman" is "human female", and both of those elements must be present for an organism to be considered a "woman". mares are not women because they fail the "human" element, and men are not women because they fail the "female" element.

So she should have just said "Are you stupid? A 'woman' is defined as a human female."

This is America. Unfortunately, we can't seem to get past race and color. I agree. In America there should never be restrictions to an application based on race, or color.

I will never live to see an America were people are just Americans. Damn shame too.

That right there is actual fact. It never fails to amuse me that the Left decries racism and sexism and a lot of other isms out of one side of their faces while demanding racism, sexism, and a lot of other isms out of the other side of their faces. Both, at the same time.

What was that definition of "cognitive dissonance" again?

Either sex and race are the defining criteria for employment, or they are not. Can't have it both ways at the same time.

And judges are supposed to apply the law, not create it or interpret it. Those jobs belong to the legislative branches, not the judicial branches. Whether or not she understands that simple distinction and her place in it is the ONLY criteria for this appointment that matters, and I've not heard anyone, from either side of the aisle, ask that question.

As another poster mentioned, it's all just political theater to entertain and distract the masses. Bottom line is she is a Marxist in the running to replace a Marxist, so no net change in the court's balance. These hearings matters less than a pimple on my ass, because they aren't going to change anything.

Changing tires on my car matters more, because at least I can change the tread pattern to match the season.

I mean, you know, if we're being blunt and all...

I understood that, and agree - she WAS being evasive with her response. I was simply pointing out in my ham-fisted way that we should not be placing a "judge" on the bench who does not even know basic legal definitions. How can we expect her to properly apply law if she does not even know what law is?

To that, I might add that it could potentially be a very bad idea to emplace a justice on the SCOTUS who has a hard time taking an affirmative stance and sticking to it - that seems to me to not be a very "judgely" quality.

It seems we are in a space and time, when what we are being given as government representatives, are those that pass the social media test, and internet popularity contest. Please notice I say "given", because we deceived ourselves, if we believe we really have any control over who sits on Capitol Hill, outside of choosing between heads or tails of the same coin.

Those that are in control will paint the worse idiot as a special gift from God, and someone that is a better choice, will be picked to the damn bones, and hung out to dry. The saddest part, is that the majority of the people, will go along with the narrative, without realizing they are being manipulated. Even when they know that the media and the government are the father of lies.

I am just an old, and sometimes crotchety old broad, that has no trust, whatsoever, of the media or our government. So, you have to take anything I say with a little thought and a lot of salt.
