I read a report somewhere that there was a proposed project submitted for funding under one of the the NIH grants that would infect wild bats with a chimeric corona virus that would stimulate herd immunity to all corona variations in the bats. I didn't bother researching that project as it was rejected for funding, also I may be mis-remembering what I read, but the idea has stuck with me regardless of the source.

So my conspiratorial mind has set upon the idea that this may be proposed as a way to vaccinate the entire world without gaining consent. With CRISPER bio-tech, why couldn't they just whip up another virus that does little damage to the human host but confers immunity to COVID in the infected?

So to the question that has come to my mind, "Will a new corona virus be developed and released to 'vaccinate' the unvaxxed?" It doesn't seem like a far leap unless it really is about the money and political power versus herd immunity and ending the pandemic. Of course, if a new virus is developed and released, it may be related to the eugenics and population control conspiracy theories and not as a real solution to the pandemic.

And here I am, the fly in the ointment, the Devil's Advocate.

I don't see a problem with a reduced population. It's not out of any Mephistolean self-loathing or anything like that, it's just simple logistics for the most part. Fewer people means more stuff per person. Stuff like food and water. Over and above that, nature itself culls populations that outgrow their resources. Nature uses a number of mechanisms to effect that reduction, but it's primarily starvation and internecine warfare. Too many of an organism start getting on one another's last nerve, fights break out, deaths occur.

Life in a human ant colony is exactly what the Left aims for. More worker ants to support the queen ants at the top of the pyramid. I'm not an ant, and have no desire to live in an ant colony. Still, we see now the concept at play as the Left increases in strength as the population explodes. Oh, they tell all the little worker ants that they are really looking out for them, intending to make their lives better. What they really mean is "we want more of you so there are more workers to support US in our cushy lifestyles - your life ain't really gonna change, much less improve... but ours will, at your expense"

We also see the results of overpopulation in all the migrations currently taking place. Folks breed like rabbits in the Third World, and when there are too many of them in one place, they start looking around for more resources, and head there, en masse. Now, what they really see is a "better life", but that better life comes from having more resources per person, and working harder. They don't take that into account, they just haul ass for what they perceive as greener pastures... but, once there, they repeat the same cycle and populate beyond the resource threshold, and then in a few generations have to move on to greener pastures once again. Humans are humans, not locusts or lemmings. they should not breed themselves into the necssity of acting as such, but they always do.

And then nature takes over to thin them out.

it's a lot like Harvey Danger said in "Flagpole Sitta" -

The cretins cloning and feeding.
And I don't even own a TV."
