As far as we know..

Seems one of the first as far as archaeology has discovered so far, but things could change as our changing climate exposed here-to-for unknown sites. It's hard to say how many came and went only leaving traces of  technological marvels in the sands  and dusts of time buried. But everything buried has a habit of surfacing sometime in the future. And where did they go ? Did they have technologies that dwarfed our modern times and will we achieve similar knowledges ? It could be that a number of these civilizations did surpass us and in doing so thought themselves as divine. Did they grow so advanced that it led to their destruction? It could of been that true divinity was dispatched to end such ambitions before the world was ultimately destroyed. Atlantis comes to mind, said to draw power from crystals

supposed nuclear destruction, Glass in the Deserts of Libya

Wouldn't it be likely to think their destructions came from within? Those who discerned we were not Gods but instead were out of control.

The Bible says six thousand years, scientists say six billion years old. The Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Paleogene in modern times.
And so our modern times had a beginning and ultimate end with no escape, like all those who went before.
A genetic construct, DNA programmed to self end far in the future

How much of that time  is left?

I love reading about ancient times and artifacts.
I used to watch several different people on GAIA t.v. discuss this topic when I subscribed to the channel. The subject kept my attention the entire show.

If I could choose one place to go out of all those you showed, it would be Machu Picchu. Something about it just fascinates me. It just looks mystical. (And I don't have "mystic" in my name for no reason.)

I did a file on ancient places and artifacts a few years ago.

Looks like you took some time putting this thread together too.

Excellent job!   minusculeclap

The ruins off the Japanese coast are called "Yonaguni".

I faintly recall hearing something about a "Texas Wall", but don't recall much about it.

I don't believe this civilization will achieve any such similar knowledge. We appear to be programmed onto a course for destruction.

Nuclear destruction did not visit only the Libyan desert - Mohejo Daro's civilization was also destroyed by nukes,

Sumerian civilization arose not long after that destruction, probably from among survivors, but it is a long road from there back to technology.

And here we are, all set to blow it, over "social issues" that don't mean anything to anyone who actually thinks.

Entire civilizations have collapsed for less.

Buy a mule, learn how to make plows. You could be in on the ground floor of the next civilization!

.
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’

Might be a bit off topic here.

I have an interest in previous civilizations.  Did they achieve orbit?  Did they progress to lunar landings or placing exploratory landers on other terrestrial planets?  Perhaps they could have if not for some cataclysmic event or other man made local destruction.

In saying that I think at least this current civilization has placed aspects of it's achievements that could not be denied in future millennia.

My thoughts,

Kind regards,

Bally:)

And after so many tries before, maybe, just maybe, we can weather the tech and progresses to the point where we are supposed to or destined to. Past the confines that occurred every time before. Your right, we have done 'Magic'  A bit mechanical, but the previously impossible. Will our DNA survive...? Will we succeed in refining it too. The future is not far away, maybe closer than we think. Sadly the risk remains of 'Game Over'. Maybe, just maybe......

Good points. What that line of thought bring to my mind are all of the "anomalies" that have been found on the Moon, Mars, and other planetary bodies. Many folks attribute them to "aliens", but what if they are really relics of space exploration by earlier Earth civilizations?

Just thinkin' out loud and in public...

Yeah.  Perhaps that old "Black Knight Satellite"  was a relic.  Like those stories about off Earth Anomalies.

Kind regards,
