Crop Circles and Extraterrestrials
#1
For @"Mystic Wanderer"  and Others who find Crop Circles interesting.
I think you might like this interview.
It's a good 60 minutes long so grab your popcorn and chess puffs and a cold drink.

How true crop circles differ from those made by ET's?

OK, I did not know about that one. I will watch :)

I'm over half way, but I had to stop to cook supper. Then I got distracted by other threads, and now it's almost time for Table of Titans live stream.

I'll probably have to finish tomorrow.   Good so far.

Some crop circles you look at and think, "meh, a couple of people could pull it off."

Then I see some that are mind-blowing in their precision and complexity, that showed up in a field overnight, and it makes me wonder.

Yep. I feel the same way.

But why? What for? Alien kids and teens flying around the universe and making "Graffiti" ?

I ran across one once.  Believe it was from natural causes.

It was a single circle about 15 feet in diameter in a field with no paths or broken stems leading up to it.  So I moved as gingerly as I could through the field to avoid doing damage ... but I left a path of sorts regardless.

IIRC, the grass in the circle was flattened and all laying in a counter-clockwise direction.  No stalks of the plant were broken in the circle, just flattened down.

My take was that the cause was a dust devil had touched down long enough to push the plants down while twisting them.

Of course, this field was across a road from an institute for research in physics, so who knows. tinysurprised

Update: I watched about 90% of it before the internet went out on me.

I had not known all this about crop circles. The part of the stalk nodes boiling was very provocative. So was the information on the stalks being interwoven and not broken, only bent. I need to look into the part of the different mineral uptake caused by plasma (???). Unless someone can demonstrate how a person does that with a board and some rope, I am betting something else is involved. What? I have no idea.

Is this the work of aliens? Interdimensional beings? Perhaps long struggling, spirit artists?

And "why"? The "what" we can measure and catalog but without a purpose or motivation, the greatest part of the mystery is still out of reach.

Oh, and why Wiltshire, England?

This ...     https://info-quest.org/documents/The%20C...0Sagan.htm  ... Really struck me. The location, the speed it was constructed, the message if it was a message. Crop Circles are captivating, and though there are many man-made ones, it seems hard to believe all are man-made. But then by who ? Still it's a captivating subject even if it has cooled in recent times.

Jacques Vallée believe(d)(s) some of it was military testing of directed energy weapons like lasers.  He noted many of the circles took place near a British military base.
