2020 or Whatever

Friends, family, foes, and fucking awesome people:

I have a post-election speech planned, but let's be honest, who cares what I think (in a broad perspective, nobody).

But let's get one thing clear, no matter who wins, no matter what platform is preferred in this cycle, we are going to continue on and be well for the next 4 years. Trump is no Stalin, Hitler, or Un. Biden is no Lenin, Marx, or Stalin / Hitler / Un.

Both are equally capable of being the US figurehead, both are capable of being the fraud. But most important, both are really not able to swing policy in any direction that you may believe to be important.

At the end of the day we will all still be bone headed, hard nosed, red blood Americans that will overcome no matter what is thrown our way. Either that, or we wont. And we'll go the way of Rome, so really who cares... Rome turned out well and has many ruins to visit  tinylaughing

Agreed!!

No, Trump is not going to destroy our country, despite what many say

Nor did Obama ---->>>some claimed he would refuse to leave

Nor did Bush ------>>>> they claimed he was going to start WW3 and refuse to step down

Nor did Clinton

Nor did Daddy Bush

So on and so on........

Some people like Trump.
Some people do not like Trump.

Thing is, that has been the way with politicians since politics existed.
Nothing new there, even tho many act like it is all of a sudden.

Point being, our country and it's people are resilient.

When I have asked "how has Trump destroyed our country", I can never get a straight answer. Only nasty remarks about "orange man bad", which tells me they are simply acting on emotions, not facts. And when they are acting on emotions, they flat refuse to listen.
They literally shut down.   (that is also the time to turn the TV off)

We may not care for who is in the Oval Office, but that is only temporary.

Unlike our Senators and Congressmen  ---- that make a career out of being a politician, becoming millionaires  tinysure
And why we need term limits for all!!

Yesterday I met a dear friend for coffee and cake, the cake was the sort that raises your blood sugar to 36 by just looking at it. My friend is very left but its no problem to talk about anything. So we were talking about Trump Biden.
Now the strange thing was they had nothing good to say about Trump, NOTHING. It was as if they could not get it into there head that has done good things, but they were a 100% blind to any good he has done.
At the same time they could not see the bad Biden has done , indeed they said he is only there to get Harris into power.
It seemed to me that this way of thinking was very similar to a cult or oppressive religion, the great leader is all good and has no faults.
But we had a nice time and im sure my blood sugar was close to 40 by the time I had cleared to second cake slice.

That seems to be the mind set from both sides.

I find it interesting that each side can see it so easily when looking at the opposing side, but they are completely blind when standing in the midst of the party they support.

I have been an independent for over 20 years and I see nothing appealing on either side that makes me even consider joining their ranks.

But you are right, cult like behavior is extremely off putting, regardless of the side it is emanating from.

For every one person that read this post. About 7.99 billion have not.

Yet I still post.  tinyinlove

No doubt the Poles in the Katyn Forest were all telling themselves it was going to be just fine. tinysure

Some may know of the war crime I write of here.

What you may not know is the Soviets encouraged them, while prisoners, to write home so that the Soviets could learn where families of the Polish officers lived.  Those families were rounded up and deported to Siberia.  Of course, it took years for them to learn of the fates of their husbands / fathers.

Yeah.  The road to socialism is no game.

Cheers
