THE Best Score EVER
#1
Fellow Rogues,

I was watching a live football (soccer) match on TV last night, and the team I support (Glasgow Rangers) scored one of the BEST goals that I've ever seen!

It was in a big European game against Standard Liege of Belgium, in the opening group-stage match of the Europa League tournament.

Rangers striker Kemar Roofe battled for the ball near the edge of his own penalty area, skipped past about 4 opponents then looked up to see the opposition goalkeeper standing very slightly off of his goal line... What happened next defies adequate description! Suffice to say... it's well worth taking a look!

See the short video clip to watch the action!

It got me thinking.... What is the BEST scoring play that you've ever seen in any sport?

My previous favourite.... almost equal to this one... was a James McFadden goal, again in football (soccer), but this time for Scotland vs France:

I'm sure that I have a few Rugby tries that could maybe come close too....

Anyway, I hope that you enjoyed this one, now what's YOUR favourite scoring play in any sport?

Yeah! Sports! The most serious thing of all the non-serious things. tinycool

I can't see the video here in my country, because UEFA has blocked it due to copyrights, but i will look it up later. There are some beautiful goals in soccer sometimes. But you already know, but others might not, i am an ice hockey fan. International, which means world championships every spring (except this 2020 due to bad flu season) and winter Olympics every 4 years.

The score i remember, and i was watching it live in the Arena, was 17-2. My home city team TPS versus Kiekko-reipas from the city of Lahti. It was unreal... first of all, if a hockey teams wins 5-1 or 5-0 it is considered a serious beating. Most games end up like 4-2 or 3-1 for one team or the other. Ties are common.

@"gordi"  did you hear that Aston villa won Liverpool 7-2 just recently?

Outside team sports, when it is only one individual, there is one favorite memory, and one only. "Lyman Currier (born August 28, 1994) is an American freestyle skier. "

He got 4.20 score in the Sochi Olympics and he laughed right after :D https://www.thecannabist.co/2014/02/21/w...pics/5207/

1. I dont understand why Americans call their "football" sport...football. It is only in rare instances that they use a foot anyway. It would be more rational to call it handball :)

2. Here are two of my favorite examples :
