Wake Up!!!
#1
I wrote this on the fly and posted it on my social media this morning. Just going to copy and paste here- still haven't had enough coffee for proper function yet! Enjoy!

Wake Up!!!

Media poisons your mind
Takes away your time
Separates people
How can you fly like an eagle
with those chains on your legs?

One truth for them
Another truth for you
Twisting and turning
Minds angrily churning
   at our masters bidding.

Real truth lies in the middle
Yet we are played like a fiddle
Sowing hatred and war
Why are we fighting for
   the agenda of others?

It was always planned
Programming the minds of man
To do their dirty work
While they hide like cowardly jerks
   Why can you not see?

Stop fighting your brother
Your sister, your mother
Turn off your device
Go out and live LIFE
   Wake up!
   Wake up!

I've toyed with more or less permanently disconnecting.

Can't go all the way, though -- some essential activity is done via the PC.

But, boy howdy, it -is- tempting.

I think the trick to it is to use it without allowing it to use you. When we allow the internet to spoon feed us pre-selected opinions rather than using our own critical thinking skills and digging out the facts buried within editorials  we willingly submit to those who would subjugate us.

Try watching Childhood 2.0 and or Social Dilemma. They both do a good job of explaining how and why we are addicted to the medium.

Like my mother said after watching it, "I just spent over an hour watching them tell me what I already knew." "I think every parent needs to watch it, so they kind be reminded of what they already know."

For every one person that read this post. About 7.99 billion have not.

Yet I still post.  tinyinlove
