I am. I'll not deny it - I'm entirely guilty as charged. I don't however, believe 11/04 will be a sad day for either of us. The stage being set for utter confusion gives me that impression. I think everyone is going to claim a "victory", and then the long knives will come out.

I apologize to you that I was editing my post as you were making your reply. I put one too many "end quote" tags in it, with the net result that the bottom of the post came out all funky. I can fix yours if you wish - I've already fixed mine.

.

Thank you, but it's of no consequence. My opinions and values are not welcomed here, anyways.

Sure they are. If both of us agree on everything, one of us is unnecessary. It's folks like you that keep me honest, and on my toes.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’

Where people get their news doesn't matter nearly as much as whether or not they think what "news" they do get through logically. If it doesn't agree with what is already known, if it doesn't  pass the "smell test", it's probably bullshit rather than news. If people cannot sort opinion out from fact, then there is no hope for them, no matter where they get their news.

Touche. True enough, that is the facts. It is also the facts that the ONLY reports come from "anonymous sources", and you probably know as well as I do how easily those can be manufactured out of thin air, which is why I don't trust them. If no one had the testicular fortitude to come out and say who they are, that they heard this, and how they heard this, I can give no credence to the report whatsoever. It is fairly clear that your mileage may vary, and I'm ok with that. I'm not here to tell you how to think, or what to believe. I can only make those decisions for myself.

I must say, Sir,
your magnanimity has surprised and touched me. I appreciate and respect your fairness in regards to our discourse.

And I want to say I concur with your assessment. I'm an older woman and as such, a bit gun shy. I've come to the position that the maxims of if it "quacks like a duck' and "where there's smoke" always applies, and because of the fact, I become circumspect.

So at times and without additional facts, I will conject based on previously acquired knowledge and my perceptions. I certainly don't need to list those things because they're general knowledge as they come directly from the source, him and his words.

Trumps contempt is obvious and to his actual credit, there is nothing obtuse about him. Given this information, I have made the leap that I believe these sources assertions. I also believe that those that should come to his aid, haven't done so and with some sincere cause I may add.

He is after all the most powerful man in the world and as such can be dangerous to anyone he percieves as enemies. Consequently, Mattis and Kelly saying nothing, in my mind speaks absolute volumes.

Your perception of course may be different, but in no way do they invalidate mine.

@"Antisthenes" From a professional point of view I find your use of words, formation of sentences and the very practiced way you can  draw people into an arrangement then manipulate the discussion that you are seen as the person been attacked..
I am tempted to say you are more than one person writing and you want people to fight with you.
But what ever not worth getting my BP up about

I gotta say it.

I never fully understood American politics and the solemn belief in being a patriot while holding one's party into a do or die scenario. I'm right, you're wrong being the motto, no matter which party the patriot is in.

We have 'patriots' here in Eastern Canada that have mimicked your way of political thinking. They are right and the rest of Canada is filled with idiots, peasants and assholes.

No one will ever agree that it doesn't matter which party is in power. You get the short end of the stick no matter who is. But it's much better playing the 'I'm right / you're wrong' game. It makes THEM right, all the time, even though THEY're wrong, master bullshit artists and corrupt pieces of trash.

Why politics will never change. Ever. It's way too easy to divide people. Way too easy.

Just an opinion, out of context and off topic, please ignore.

I've never understood it either.  In my opinion, it's become more about rooting for your sports team, the team you were raised with, or the team you were told about by your friends, instead of what you really believe in.

I've never been a republican or a democrat, I've always just wanted the best person for the job.  I think it's a joke that the choices over the past few elections have been Trump, Hillary, and Biden.  There really doesn't exist better people to run the country?  Do they even truly run the country?

How do moderates not dominate the numbers?  How can so many people strictly believe in either republic or democrat principles?

Imagine that!  The Atlantic owner was a mega-donor to the Biden Campaign.

I'm shocked!   :mediumomg:

Quote:Yesterday, the Atlantic magazine released a hit piece on President Trump claiming that he called World War 1 Veterans losers. (More on that later)

What should shock no one, it turns out that the owner of the Magazine, Laurene Powell Jobs, is a Joe Biden mega-donor.

Sigh...

What people are missing about this election is that it isn't just another election; it's literally a vote for keeping our freedoms as we've known them, or handing them over to communist leaders.  That's it, plain and simple.

Trump was asked to run in 2016 because he's an outsider, not a politician. He has no blackmail material on him that "they" can use to control him. He has plenty of money, so he can't be bought; he was/is the only person for this job to "drain the swamp".
He may have a streak of narcissism, but he is getting the job done; that's all that matters to me.
I don't care about his past personal life, I care about his ability to lead us back to the great country we used to be before Obummer, Bush, and Clinton came in and planted the commies and radical Muslims in our government. I overlook his faults to see the fighter he is, the patriot he is, and the kind of strong leader we need to lead us forward and win against all odds.

I fight so hard because I want the America back that I remember from my youth.
I like being able to walk down the street and see kids playing on the sidewalk safely, riding their bike alone to the local candy store, not worrying about some deranged person knocking me in the head as they pass by me, not standing in line for groceries, not depending on socialism to tell me how much food I get this week/month, keeping my gun(s) for my personal safety, speaking my mind, choosing if I work in a factory or work for myself, not being censored on the internet, standing and proudly saying the pledge of allegiance to my flag, freedom of religion, not having terrorists in my backyard, etc.

We only have two months left. I pray/meditate everyday with the strongest of my ability that people will wake up and see the danger of voting for Biden in November. People see him as the old democrat party candidate, but they're not seeing that he is being controlled by Socialists in the background.  If he wins, our country is toast. He'll sell us out to China so fast it'll make your head spin!

If you don't mind giving up the freedoms I listed above, then move to China or Venezuela. You will be welcome with open arms there, but don't stay here and try to turn our country into what they are.

I don't hate Trump, to me he's been a breath of fresh air compared to all these other snakes who do nothing but blow smoke up all our asses.

If he gets reelected, which I hope he does over Biden, I hope he delivers on promises of bringing jobs back to America.  No, it wasn't his fault to begin with, but I believe it should be illegal to send jobs overseas. Goes to show how much Congress is in the pockets of corporations.

As far as our rights go, I think it'll be a cold day in hell before any president takes guns away.  Surely they know what would happen if they even attempted it.

I MAY have been like that at one time, but not any more.

I come from a long line of Republicans and Horse Thieves. Around 1991 or 92, I suddenly realized that the Republicans weren't "Republican" any more. They had been taken over by the Neocons, who are closet Marxists. I could no longer detect any discernible difference between Republicans and Democrats, which left me in a quandary... so I renounced my connections to the Republican party. I didn't leave them, they left me.

I'm more of the Libertarian persuasion these days, a Conservative Libertarian, which I believe there are not many of any more. I don't toe the Libertarian Party line, mostly because I don't think there really is one - we're all over the political map, and the only real commonality I can find is a "keep yer grubby mits off my shit" attitude. Even then, there is a difference of opinion between the Liberal and Conservative sorts of just what constitutes "MY shit".

So, I'm kinda in a political limbo, and don't even really have a party line to get behind. I just know what I do and don't want.

There ARE better folks to run the country, but none of them want the job. Too many headaches come with it, and they are not really the power seeking sort of people.

Power seekers are the LAST type of person you want in that job, and it's a strange quirk of human nature that those are the only types that are drawn to it.

What does this substantiate? The video is partisan hyperbole created by Trumps propaganda team. I can appreciate you like it but it contains no factual criteria.

I could post any number of videos here that deride Trump. For instance, Jennifer Griffin is a Fox correspondent that corroborates his behavior via WH Personnel sharing with her. Trump has of course, called for her firing. But I don't post these things because they are accounts that are unverifiable, as are the video and account you've posted.

Twitter is atweet with Soldiers railing against his behavior. They feel completely and utterly betrayed. They voted for him and they are rightly shattered.

And as for my opinion, Sperry discussing the "hit piece"? That's hyperbole as well until their is a substantiation that it didn't happen. Pointing the crooked finger without any real proof has become de rigeuer and part of this Administrations M O.'s.

So here we are with the he said, she said show while the powers that be throw raw meat to the reactionaries. I think we need to just sit back and let it unfol and see just what comes of it.

At any rate it may be time we just want to take Ninurta's advice and cut the Marionette chords free and actually make our own moves and think critically about what's actually unfolding here.

Yes, as it said in the article in the OP, Griffin is a Fox correspondent, and other correspondents were angry at her and called it a hoax, which it is.

I have yet to see any tweets of military people railing against Trump, and that's where I spend 75% of my time.
Can you please send me a link?

On that note, they are there for anyone that has a search engine. As I previously stated, we all meed to think for ourselves.
