(This post was last modified: 08-19-2020, 10:25 PM by Mystic Wanderer.)
This happened a couple of days ago. No one here has posted it, so I guess I will; the message needs to be heard/seen.
Adam Haner and his girlfriend were in his truck when they were quickly surrounded by Antifa thugs. They pulled the woman out of the truck and started beating her and pushed her to the ground. Adam got out of the truck to go help her, but he was quickly surrounded by the thugs and beaten unconscious.
Their crime? I'll get to that below.
I'm posting some links to Twitter posts that tell the story:
https://twitter.com/MrAndyNgo/status/129...16417?s=20
(You'll have to follow the thread to see all the videos.)
These are the "peaceful protesters" that CNN and MSNBC keep reporting about.
I don't know about you, but THAT is NOT my definition of a peaceful protest.
Now, to get to what got the thugs riled up enough to attack this man and woman so harshly - here is a tweet Adam posted earlier that evening:
He was bringing attention to the hypocrisy of the amount of coverage someone like Floyd received vs. the little boy, Cannon Hinnant.
This is what caused the Left to flip their wig! REALLY?!
The police are still looking for the man who kicked Adam in the head, Keese Love.
Manhunt underway for attacker in Portland truck assault: police
And if that isn't bad enough, just look at the article NY Post put out! They are blaming Adam Haner for the assault.
Quote:In an effort to justify the brutal beating Adam Haner received in Portland the other night, the NY Post published a story noting that Haner had posted an “anti-George Floyd meme” hours before he was assaulted. This is gaslighting and unambiguous propaganda disguised as a news report.
First and foremost, it wasn’t an “anti-George Floyd meme.” It was a statement of facts that 5-year-old Cannon Hinnant’s murder was ignored by media while George Floyd was practically sainted by the press and others. Floyd’s death was tragic, but the lopsided attention paid to his murder over Hinnant’s is a clear indicator of the racial divide that favors Black victims as far as mainstream media is concerned. It was a legitimate post.
Second, reporting on this at all is an attempt to justify the beat down Haner received at the hands of Black Lives Matter and Antifa domestic terrorists. It’s very possible based on the assault’s severity that Haner is lucky to be alive. Police are seeking at least one suspect now. If caught, he should face attempted murder charges.
As long as mainstream media continues gaslighting, it’s incumbent on patriots and truthful news sources to fight back. The NY Post is normally fair. This time, they put on their social justice journalist hats and spewed vitriol all over themselves.
Source
Twitter went viral with a tweet that Adam had died. It wasn't true. He is back home now recovering, thank goodness.
That thug that hit him in the head better be counting his lucky stars that he didn't die too, or else he would be looking at murder charges. He's already wanted for attempted murder.
This is getting has gotten out of hand!
These beatings of innocent people need to be dealt with quickly and harshly!
I believe I saw where the mayor had finally stepped up and asked POTUS to send in help, but I don't know if that's true.
If it isn't, President Trump should do it anyway before someone gets killed...again!
If Antifa is a domestic terrorist group, why aren't they being arrested?
GET THEM OFF OUR STREETS!

Maybe I spoke too soon about nothing being done. But, what I want to see are these rioters arrested and taken to jail to await trial without being released back onto the streets.
Operation Legend: More than 200 charged with federal crimes, 1,000 arrested, AG Barr announces
Quote:The operation is named for LeGend Taliferro, 4, who was shot and killed while he slept in June
At least 217 people have been charged with a federal crime, and more than 1,000 arrests have been made in major metropolitan cities since the Department of Justice launched Operation Legend in July, U.S. Attorney General William Barr announced on Wednesday.
Nearly 400 firearms have been seized by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Barr launched Operation Legend on July 8 as “a sustained, systematic and coordinated law enforcement initiative in which federal law enforcement agencies work in conjunction with state and local law enforcement officials to fight violent crime,” the DOJ said in a release.
It was named in honor of 4-year-old LeGend Taliferro, who was shot and killed while he slept in the early morning of June 29 in Kansas City, Mo. Last week, a Jackson County prosecutor announced second-degree murder charges against his suspected killer, 22-year-old Ryson Ellis, who was being held in Tulsa County Jail.
“LeGend is a symbol of the many hundreds of innocent lives that have been taken in the recent upsurge of crime in many of our urban areas,” Barr said at a press conference in Kansas City. “His life mattered and the lives of all of those victims matter. His name should be remembered and his senseless death, like those of all the other innocent victims in this recent surge, should be unacceptable to all Americans.”
Barr said the federal government has dispatched to nine U.S. cities more than 1,000 additional agents from the FBI, ATF, Drug Enforcement Administration and U.S. Marshals Service to work shoulder to shoulder with state and local partners on homicide and assault squads to crack cases.
The government has also allocated $78.5 million in grants to support additional police positions, hire more prosecutors and improve technology to solve firearms crimes.
“We saw one result of those efforts last week when Kansas City Police arrested the suspected murderer of LeGend," Barr said. "This arrest will not bring LeGend back but it will make his case an example of how we can come together to take violent criminals off the street and to make our communities safer."
The spike in violent crime, according to Barr, may have a lot of reasons, including the “pent up aggression prompted by state and local quarantine orders,” the premature release of dangerous criminals by the courts and prosecutors, and the efforts “to demonize police and defund their work.”
“Operation Legend is the heart of the federal government’s response to this upturn in violent crime. Its mission is to save lives, solve crimes and take violent offenders off the streets before they can claim more victims,” Barr said. “Rather than demonizing and defunding our police, we are supporting and strengthening our law enforcement partners at the state and local level.
First launched in Kansas City, Operation Legend expanded to Chicago and Albuquerque on July 22, to Cleveland, Detroit and Milwaukee on July 29, to St. Louis and Memphis on Aug. 6, and to Indianapolis on Aug. 14.
The latest figures on charges and arrests do not include Indianapolis, whose operation was first announced last Friday. The arrests of more than 1,000 people include those charged in state and local courts.
In Kansas City, a total of 43 defendants have been charged with federal crimes. Sixty-one have been charged with federal charges in Chicago, 16 in Albuquerque, 32 in Cleveland, 22 in Detroit, 11 in Milwaukee, 25 in St. Louis, and 7 in Memphis, Tenn.
The charges include illegal possession of a firearm, possession with intent to distribute controlled substances or narcotics, drug trafficking, theft, carjacking, bank robbery, illegal re-entry of an alien in connection with a widespread drug conspiracy, and making false statements to licensed firearm dealers.

I will try to speak on this; please, forgive me if my speech is simple and a bit out of order. I still struggle.
I see no "protests", no Peaceful demonstrations". I see anarchy, murder, violence against the helpless, destruction, theft. I see an armed insurrection carried out by a group of persons who were waiting for a reason to explode into hatred.
Antifa IS a Domestic Terrorist group, and they are not alone.
Why aren't they being arrested? My guess is to court their votes. How can you arrest a group that has mayors and top political figures participating in their activities?
It hurts to watch our country being destroyed by her own people.

Let us hope this is not more catch and release. I've watched it happen several times now.

I live outside of Portland.
It used to be a weird, quirky city filled with some great restaurants and Powell's Books. (I love that place!)
But whenever I'm in Portland (usually one week out of the month) I stay at a secure hotel, eat at the hotel, take the interstate to the hospitals where I need to work, eat at the hospitals, then go right back to the hotel using the interstate.
I avoid the surface roads always.
Last time I was there (3 weeks ago) I was awoken several times over a couple of nights by flash-bangs the police were using to break up the riots.
One morning I found what happened to be a can of mace and several cell phones in some bushes by the hotels smoking area.
Some rioters looked to ditch their phones and hide at the hotel.
Cops still tracked them and arrested them.
Businesses are not just boarded up.
They are leaving Portland.
They can't afford the shutdowns, the lootings, the riots.
This will be looking like Detroit in a few weeks.
It's such a damned waste.

My stomach stays in a knot while my husband is away from home. He drives a truck interstate; he has been blessed, so far, to be away from the madness. I hope that continues, and he stays safe. He and all the other truck drivers who have no choice on where they have to drive.
I've never been able to understand the destruction of one's own neighborhood: the burning, looting, destroying of businesses that are needed on a daily basis. I just can't wrap my head around the level of ignorance that it takes to imagine that sort of behavior is justified.
Stay safe, dear beez!

Will do. My wife is the same way.
She's just sick whenever I have to go to Portland now.
She worries more about me going to Portland than when I had to go to Kabul in Afghanistan!

@"LadyJae", most of the people doing the rioting are being paid to do it. The money, as we've discussed in other threads, is coming from Soros. They want to destroy the cities and run the businesses out so the people will be forced to depend on the government. It's how socialism works. As long as there is opportunity to work, the less chance they have to bring in socialist programs.
@"beez", it's a shame that traveling in your own country puts you in more danger than when you were in Afghanistan. From what I've seen, I believe it. Sounds like you're doing all you can to stay safe. Hopefully, this will be over after the election, one way or the other.

The Anons on 4Chan hunted down the guy that kicked Adam Haner in the head. Now he's almost crying and asking for donations to help him out.
I hope he rots in prison!

The attacker, Marquise Lee Love, turned himself in. He has a list of past arrests. Surprise, surprise!
Let's hope justice is served in this case. Being that it's Portland, I have my doubts he will get more than a slap on the wrist.
Quote:Marquise Lee Love turned himself in and was booked in the Multnomah County Detention Center on Friday shortly after 8:30 a.m. local time, according to jail records. He was charged with assault, coercion and rioting, all three of which are felonies, records show.
Police later confirmed the arrest in a press release shared on Twitter.
"I am pleased the suspect in this case turned himself in and appreciate all of the efforts to facilitate this safe resolution," said PPB Chief Chuck Lovell. "Thank you to all of the members of the public who have provided information and tips to our investigators. Your assistance is very much appreciated."
Love, who also goes by the name “Keese Love,” appears to have been captured on video repeatedly punching and kicking a man who was later identified in reports as being Adam Haner.

Unfortunately, people just can't stop till they've gone too far. It really is time for the Police to pinpoint the most egregious offenders, tape their behavior and just flat out start busting some heads. Kumbaya sisters and brothers, kumbaya.

Hallmarks of an insurgency.
It wouldn't be hard to deal with ... if the cops just went away.
Ya see, it's the cops that stop the law-abiding citizens from dealing with anarchists when the rule of law has ceased to function.
Remember those prepper acronyms: SHTF, TEOTWAWKI, WROL (without rule of law)?
Everyone wants a 'measured response'. Well, a measured response might be gunning down everyone in the streets, finding out where they reside ... and killing everyone who lives there too. Sounds like a good start to me.

They're gonna send you back to Mother in a cardboard box

It's the Cops job to fix this problem. The ultimate anarchy is when vigilantism takes the stage. It is the constabularies place to mete out justice, not the public at large. The police need to take action and their superiors need to take responsibility for the fallout. If those in higher up position take inappropriate action like fiirings, that's what the Court system is for.

Which one of those solutions do you think would actually work in 'the real world'?
I think I deserve an 'honest' answer for an honest question.

Both solutions solve the issue at hand. One of the solutions is enacted within the rule of law. The other solution creates new criminals in it's execution.
I suppose the more prescient question is why you believe my solution isn't viable?

These Assholes need to be Exterminated!
Quote:Leftists Storm Suburb With Guillotine, Burn American Flags: ‘Get In The F***ing Streets!’
Quote:Violent rioters attacked police in Portland on Saturday after marching through a suburb area carrying a guillotine and other weapons.
The Portland Police Department said that a group of 250 people participated in the march throughout the suburb area on their way to the Penumbra Kelly Building, which houses public safety offices.
Videographer BG On the Scene recorded numerous videos of the night’s action, noting in one video that “protesters have brought out a guillotine to the streets.” Another video showed the rioters burning American flags and a teddy bear.
Later on in the night, a far-left activist screamed into a bullhorn at residents in the suburb area that they needed to provide the rioters with shelter because she claimed that the rioters were protecting them.
The woman yelled into a bullhorn: “What are you doing to protect your neighbors, people in their houses?”
“Get in the f***ing streets,” another man screamed.
“There are safety in numbers,” the woman on the bullhorn yelled. “We protect you every night by being out here. Please come and protect us. Make sure you are offering us refuge. We are tired and yet we are still out here. We are simply asking for one night, one hour.”

No, Machine Guns are not illegal.
Quote:Contrary to popular belief, it is perfectly legal for a law-abiding American citizen to own/possess a machine gun (sometimes called a full-auto firearm or automatic weapon).
Of course, there are some restrictions on machine gun ownership/possession for non-government/law enforcement personnel.
For example, a private citizen can lawfully own a machine gun only if:
- the possessor isn’t a “prohibited person,”
- the full-auto machine gun was made before 1986, and
- their relevant state law does not ban that the firearm (whether banning machine guns outright or any firearm with certain features).
As you can see, machine gun possession is regulated based on the person (possessor), the firearm itself (when it was made), and where the firearm is possessed (which state).
Quote:Machine gun owners can’t be “prohibited persons.”
Well, to be more accurate, a “prohibit person” can’t lawfully possess a machine gun – ownership is irrelevant.
A “prohibit person” is a class of person defined under federal law who is not allowed to posses firearms nor ammunition (not just full-auto machine guns).
The category “prohibited person” includes anyone who:- is a felon
- has been convicted of any crime punishable by more than a year in prison (whether or not they were ever sentenced to or served a day in prison)
- is under indictment for any crime punishable by more than a year in prison
- is a fugitive
- is an unlawful user of any controlled substance
- has been adjudicated as a mental defective
- has been committed to a mental institution
- is an illegal alien
- has a dishonorable discharge from the military
- has renounced their U.S. citizenship
- is the subject of a restraining order restraining the person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or the child of an intimate partner, or
- who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence
There’s a few nuances that you might need to be aware of if you think that any of these apply to you – especially the “convicted of any crime punishable by more than a year,” “unlawful user of a controlled substance,” and “restraining order” provisions. If you’d like to learn more about these prohibited person categories, see Prohibited Persons / Firearm Possession.
