The Sahara desert is so large you could fit all of the continental United States in the desert with plenty of room left over.. so yes it is big. Now for the meat of the subject.. Due to satellite data and earth penetrating radar huge olden lakes have been found with many rivers and of course the cities that resided next to them. So, some where between 8000 and 5000 years ago the Sahara was actually wet and green.

@"727Sky" I seen that same video.
Just think about the Sahara Desert being Green with a Large Lake and Rivers.
I would think that many civilizations live there like the Amazon Jungle.
What I would really like to know is, What did cause the Sahara to become a desert.
I've heard about the Earth Wobble being the cause, but then I have to ask, was the Amazon affected?

Fascinating video. He talked about all kinds of things. I found it intriguing that the Nile May once have gone in an East/west direction. Also, the stuff on the pyramids was pretty fascinating. I’ll have to check out some more of his videos. Thanks for posting this.
