The Daily Star:

I dunno about "threesomes with God", but I can categorically state that more religious women are freakier when it gets right down to bumpin' uglies. I've noticed that over the years - don't judge me for scroggin' religious chicks, 'cause they need it, too!

I've often wondered why that is, and have come to the conclusion that religious types have stronger emotional responses for whatever reason, and that comes out loud and clear during sex, which in turn makes it more intense for them, which has a net result of keeping them coming back for more...

... or it could be he other way 'round, they already have over the top emotional responses, and that leads them to seek religious experience. There is probably a reason that certain religious types were known as "Ecstatics" (not to be confused with "Ecdysiasts") in the old days!

And they will also turn you every which way but loose while causing you do do handsprings and hang from chandeliers. The only two women I've ever known that could actually be classified as nymphomaniacs were also incidentally both very religious types.

Might be good reason for all those old jokes they used to tell about Preachers Daughters and  Catholic Girls - Frank Zappa even wrote a song about 'em!

I think inviting God for threesomes is a bit out there, but that's between them and God, none of my business. They'll either answer for it or not in God's time, with or without my input.

The world might be currently in a state of confusion, but in Turkey it's a little more than usual!

Quote:Drunk Turkish Man Reported Missing Joins Search Party for Himself

'A “missing” drunk Turkish man had the shock of his life when he realized he had joined a search
party looking for himself on Tuesday. Beyhan Mutlu, 50, was reported missing by his wife after she
couldn’t get in contact with him for a few hours and he didn’t return home.

Beyhan Mutlu: "Yer' can't even have a piss in the woods in peace, these days!"

Mutlu, who lives in a city called Inegol in the northwestern province of Bursa, was not in danger -he was
simply out drinking with some friends. The man wandered into the forest after his drinking party, and his
friends couldn’t locate him. They joined his wife when she reported him missing.

While walking through the dense forest, Mutlu encountered teams of first responders and locals who had
formed a search party for a missing person. Moved by the search party, Mutlu decided to help the search
as well -and no one involved realized that he was the object of their search.

The drunk Turkish man helped search for the missing person for hours before realizing that he himself had
been reported missing. He only discovered that the search party had been organized to find him when he
heard first responders and volunteers shouting his own name.

The man shouted “I’m here!” to the great confusion of his search party colleagues, who had been searching
for the missing man for hours. Mutlu then informed authorities that indeed he himself was the person they were
looking for. The authorities took a statement from the drunk man, and then took him home.
Reportedly, the drunken man was worried that his family would be upset with him for the debacle.

Although it seems improbable, this is not the first instance of a missing person joining their own search party.
A tourist in Iceland had a similar experience in 2012 while visiting the country’s extraordinary volcanic region
in the south.

The woman visited the site on a tour bus with other tourists. The group was given time to explore the Eidgja
Canyon, which is popular with nature-loving tourists. The tourist was reported missing after she failed to return
in the allotted time, and didn’t come back to the bus even after the driver waited another hour.

A search team descended upon the area shortly, and all of the tourists aided in the search party, including the
“missing” tourist herself. Hours after the search began, it was called off when the authorities discovered that
the woman had been on the bus the whole time and even helped search for herself...'

supervisory board of HPG and a city councillor, said at the inauguration of the parking spaces that the aim

Careful when reversing.

It is not immediately clear how the authorities intend to monitor whether people who park in the spaces are
in fact part of the LGBTQ community or migrants, though HPG said a camera would monitor the car park.

Hanau, a small city roughly 15 miles east of Frankfurt, has long been considered a city of diversity in Germany

Quote:Pandora Papers: The secret owners of UK property worth billions

'The secret owners of more than 1,500 UK properties bought using offshore firms have been uncovered by a BBC investigation.
The details are featured in the Pandora Papers leak of offshore financial documents and list property with an estimated value in
excess of £4bn.

The owners include high-profile foreign politicians, individuals accused of corruption and UK political donors.
Ministers say they will bring in a new law when they have parliamentary time.

Successive Conservative governments have pledged to introduce legislation making it compulsory to name those owning property
via foreign companies in a bid to stamp out money-laundering.

Among the revelations:
*The wife of retail magnate Sir Philip Green went on a buying spree of London property while the couple's recently
sold High Street empire teetered on the verge of collapse.

*The Qatari ruling family purchased two of London's most expensive homes through offshore companies, saving
millions of pounds in tax.

*Ukrainian billionaire Gennadiy Bogolyubov, who is under investigation by the FBI and had hundreds of millions in
assets frozen in a fraud case, owns more than £400m of UK property.

*A £40m London office block is owned by the son of sanctioned Russian oligarch Mikhail Gutseriev.

The BBC worked with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), the Guardian, Finance Uncovered and other
media outlets to identify in the leaked files the individuals behind overseas companies that owned property in England and Wales.

Owning real estate through an offshore firm is legal, and there is no suggestion of wrongdoing in simply using a foreign company
to purchase property. However, the UK government recently raised its own assessment of the money laundering risk for the property
market from "medium" to "high".

The greatest level of risk is where there are "difficulties in determining the ultimate beneficial owners", according to a Home Office
report in December 2020. It comes as a number of world leaders -including the King of Jordan and the ruling family of Azerbaijan
-have featured in the Pandora Papers leak after buying property in the UK using offshore companies...'

Quote:Billionaire’s Row: The North London road crammed with empty mansions

Bishops Avenue in North London is nicknamed for its high house prices but many of the mansions on the street sit empty

'Tucked away off the A1 close to Hampstead Heath, one of the world’s most expensive neighbourhoods sits in silence.
The Bishops Avenue, also called ‘Billionaires’ Row’ is home to 66 sprawling mansions, ranging in style and value.
The Avenue isn’t shy about its property market, with the average cost of a property there settling around £15 million.

But for all the excess and undoubted glamour, ‘Billionaires’ Row’ hides a dirty secret - many of its properties are deserted
and derelict. Naturally, it takes a fairly successful person to even contemplate arranging a viewing at a property on the Avenue,
let alone purchasing one.

According to Trevor Abrahmsohn, the chairman and founder of Glentree, who are managing several properties on the avenue,
people that buy on The Bishops Avenue do so for the statement as well as the location. Mr Abrahmsohn explained: “We are a
very attractive place for wealthy entrepreneurs who want to invest in this country and we want to see them.

“Bishops Avenue is the epicentre of their interests because there’s no poor man that lives there.
“It’s a place for important people who want to make statements and they can have a country estate 15 minutes from London.”
However, to walk down the Avenue, it would be hard to say for certain which properties are occupied and which have struggled
to find buyers.

Many of the gated estates on the Avenue carry no trespass signs and the dereliction of some of the buildings is plain to see from
the road. In 2014, an investigation by the Guardian found that a third of the mansions on the street had nobody living in them, and
that many of them had been left to decay.

To many, the idea that you could buy a house worth over £10 million just to leave it empty is baffling, but the average property owner
on The Avenue is anything but ordinary.

In its illustrious history, the majority of the houses on the Avenue have been owned by international millionaires ranging from monarchs
to property tycoons. The House of Saud famously sold ten properties along The Bishops for £73 million, while the Sultan of Brunei is
thought to own at least one house on the Avenue.

To understand why the residents of Bishops Avenue were prepared to pay such exorbitant fees for their properties, we asked Mr
Abrahmsohn how the street had made its name. He explained: “It’s always been an affluent area, it used to be a hunting ground
for the bishops which is where it gets its name. “To live in Bishops Avenue is a cross between a London estate and a townhouse
because the land can be as big as 11 acres. It’s quite considerable and you won’t find that anywhere else in the world.

“You have a leafy cherished area which is nestled between two villages with two golf courses on the doorstep, 900 acres of heathland,
the finest school of any metropolis in the world in Highgate School with 75 acres of recreation land and a private and public airport
within half an hour. “You pay a price which is 20% of what you’d pay for a similar house of the same size in Belgravia.
“It ticks all the boxes. When you live in Bishops Avenue you live in a small to medium sized hotel within the grounds.”

Although Mr Abrahmsohn paints a compelling picture for the benefits of the Avenue, it is not immediately clear why this unassuming
patch of North London outshines other metropolis neighbourhoods found in Berlin, Paris or New York.
The answer, Mr Abrahmsohn says, is all to do with the history of the capital.

He said: “As London began emerging into a financial colossus from the souvenir town that perhaps Paris is today, it attracted wealthy
entrepreneurs from all over the world. “The UK has exported more tradition and culture abroad than any other country.
“The residents have grown up reading English Literature, watching English films and they dream of having a piece of English heritage.

“And the way they can do that is by buying a property in London, most of international friends don’t think there’s a country outside of the
capital. "London is one of the three most important diplomatic posts in the world not because it’s the greatest political centre, but because
it’s the most desirable. “The centres of excellence are all in London.
“You have all the facilities you could ever want, in the COVID era you wouldn’t have to go anywhere, everything is there.”

Why then are so many of the houses lying derelict and deserted?

This Mr Abrahmsohn asserts, is just part and parcel of the development process. He explained: “Some of them aren’t being lived in because
a development is being sought, planning permission is being sought and during that time the properties are a little dishevelled and derelict.
“It’s only a matter of time before that changes.”...'

Hanau?  HANAU?  That was a tired-ass garrison town during the Cold War.  The only diversity there back then was (in the eyes of the locals) the too many thousands of American GIs, but, oh, they were good for the local economy in terms of buying food and drink, and paying rent at levels the Germans would have flatly refused.  Nothing new for the town in some ways, it had been a military town since the days of the Kaiser.

Not too far from there is the little town where the Brothers Grimm hung out.

Smack-heads galore!

'Two drug dealers were nicked in Parliament as scores of crimes were recorded at the home of democracy.
The “traffickers” were held as some 202 crimes were committed on the Westminster estate in the 12 months
to this March.

Met officers also arrested five people for possession of unspecified drugs and a further eight for possession
of cannabis in the House of Commons and House of Lords. This was despite Parliament being in Covid lockdown
for long periods of the year with MPs and other workers largely told to stay away.

The freedom of information stats from the Met revealed 17 drugs crimes in total -while 36 assaults were recorded,
with the vast majority against officers at the gates. There were 25 thefts, not including seven cases of shoplifting,
from the gift shops plus 52 threatening letters to MPs and Lords or their staffers.

There are more than 3,000 pass holders with access to the Palace of Westminster in central London though many
were not present during that year. A source told The Sun: “What is shocking is how much crime was committed given
hardly anyone was here.”

A Parliament spokesperson said: “The safety and security of members, their staff and the Parliamentary community
are an absolute priority. “We work closely with the police to ensure members and staff are safe and are able to perform

Quote:COP26: Document leak reveals nations lobbying to change key climate report

'A huge leak of documents seen by BBC News shows how countries are trying to change a crucial scientific report on how to
tackle climate change.

The leak reveals Saudi Arabia, Japan and Australia are among countries asking the UN to play down the need to move rapidly
away from fossil fuels. It also shows some wealthy nations are questioning paying more to poorer states to move to greener
technologies.

This "lobbying" raises questions for the COP26 climate summit in November.

The leak reveals countries pushing back on UN recommendations for action and comes just days before they will be asked at
the summit to make significant commitments to slow down climate change and keep global warming to 1.5 degrees.

The leaked documents consist of more than 32,000 submissions made by governments, companies and other interested parties
to the team of scientists compiling a UN report designed to bring together the best scientific evidence on how to tackle climate
change.
These "assessment reports" are produced every six to seven years by the the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC),
the UN body tasked with evaluating the science of climate change.

These reports are used by governments to decide what action is needed to tackle climate change, and the latest will be a crucial
input to negotiations at the Glasgow conference. The authority of these reports derives in part from the fact that virtually all the
governments of the world participate in the process to reach consensus.

The comments from governments the BBC has read are overwhelmingly designed to be constructive and to improve the quality
of the final report. The cache of comments and the latest draft of the report were released to Greenpeace UK's team of investigative
journalists, Unearthed, which passed it on to BBC News.

Fossil fuels
The leak shows a number of countries and organisations arguing that the world does not need to reduce the use of fossil fuels as
quickly as the current draft of the report recommends.

An adviser to the Saudi oil ministry demands
"phrases like 'the need for urgent and accelerated mitigation actions at all scales…' should be eliminated from the report".

One senior Australian government official rejects the conclusion that closing coal-fired power plants is necessary, even though ending
the use of coal is one of the stated objectives the COP26 conference.
Saudi Arabia is the one of the largest oil producers in the world and Australia is a major coal exporter.

A senior scientist from India's Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research, which has strong links to the Indian government, warns
coal is likely to remain the mainstay of energy production for decades because of what they describe as the "tremendous challenges"
of providing affordable electricity. India is already the world's second biggest consumer of coal.

A number of countries argue in favour of emerging and currently expensive technologies designed to capture and permanently store
carbon dioxide underground. Saudi Arabia, China, Australia and Japan - all big producers or users of fossil fuels - as well as the
organisation of oil producing nations, Opec, all support carbon capture and storage (CCS).

It is claimed these CCS technologies could dramatically cut fossil fuel emissions from power plants and some industrial sectors.
Saudi Arabia, the world's biggest oil exporter, requests the UN scientists delete their conclusion that "the focus of decarbonisation
efforts in the energy systems sector needs to be on rapidly shifting to zero-carbon sources and actively phasing out fossil fuels".

Argentina, Norway and Opec also take issue with the statement. Norway argues the UN scientists should allow the possibility of CCS
as a potential tool for reducing emissions from fossil fuels. The draft report accepts CCS could play a role in the future but says there
are uncertainties about its feasibility.

It says "there is large ambiguity in the extent to which fossil fuels with CCS would be compatible with the 2C and 1.5C targets"
as set out by the Paris Agreement.

Australia asks IPCC scientists to delete a reference to analysis of the role played by fossil fuel lobbyists in watering down action on
climate in Australia and the US. Opec also asks the IPCC to "delete 'lobby activism, protecting rent extracting business models,
prevent political action'."

When approached about its comments to the draft report, Opec told the BBC: "The challenge of tackling emissions has many paths,
as evidenced by the IPCC report, and we need to explore them all. We need to utilise all available energies, as well as clean and
more efficient technological solutions to help reduce emissions, ensuring no one is left behind."

The IPCC says comments from governments are central to its scientific review process and that its authors have no obligation to
incorporate them into the reports.

"Our processes are designed to guard against lobbying - from all quarters", the IPCC told the BBC.
"The review process is (and always has been) absolutely fundamental to the IPCC's work and is a major
source of the strength and credibility of our reports."

Professor Corinne le Quéré of the University of East Anglia, a leading climate scientist who has helped compile three major reports
for the IPCC, has no doubts about the impartiality of the IPCC's reports. She says all comments are judged solely on scientific
evidence regardless of where they come from.

"There is absolutely no pressure on scientists to accept the comments," she told the BBC.
"If the comments are lobbying, if they're not justified by the science, they will not be integrated in the IPCC reports."
She says it is important that experts of all kinds - including governments - have a chance to review the science.

"The more the reports are scrutinised", says Professor le Quéré, "the more solid the evidence is going to be in the end, because the
more the arguments are brought and articulated forward in a way that is leaning on the best available science".
Christiana Figueres, the Costa Rican diplomat who oversaw the landmark UN climate conference in Paris in 2015, agrees it is crucial
that governments are part of the IPCC process.

"Everybody's voice has to be there. That's the whole purpose. This is not a single thread. This is a tapestry woven by many, many
threads." The United Nations was awarded a Nobel Prize in 2007 for the IPCC's work on climate science and the crucial role it has
played in the effort to tackle climate change.

Eating less meat
Brazil and Argentina, two of the biggest producers of beef products and animal feed crops in the world, argue strongly against
evidence in the draft report that reducing meat consumption is necessary to cut greenhouse gas emissions.

The draft report states "plant-based diets can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 50% compared to the average emission
intensive Western diet". Brazil says this is incorrect.

Both countries call on the authors to delete or change some passages in the text referring to "plant-based diets" playing a role in
tackling climate change, or which describe beef as a "high carbon" food. Argentina also asked that references to taxes on red meat
and to the international "Meatless Monday" campaign, which urges people to forgo meat for a day, be removed from the report.

The South American nation recommends "avoiding generalisation on the impacts of meat-based diets on low carbon options",
arguing there is evidence that meat-based diets can also reduce carbon emissions.
On the same theme, Brazil says "plant-based diets do not for themselves guarantee the reduction or control of related emissions"
and maintains the focus of debate should be on the levels of emissions from different production systems, rather than types of food.

Brazil, which has seen significant increases in the rate of deforestation in the Amazon and some other forest areas, also disputes a
reference to this being a result of changes in government regulations, claiming this is incorrect.

Money for poorer countries
A significant number of Switzerland's comments are directed at amending parts of the report that argue developing countries will
need support, particularly financial support, from rich countries in order to meet emission reduction targets. It was agreed at the
climate conference in Copenhagen in 2009 that developed nations would provide $100bn a year in climate finance for developing
countries by 2020, a target that has yet to be met.

Australia makes a similar case to Switzerland. It says developing countries' climate pledges do not all depend on receiving outside
financial support. It also describes a mention in the draft report of the lack of credible public commitments on finance as "subjective
commentary".

The Swiss Federal Office for the Environment told the BBC: "While climate finance is a critical tool to increase climate ambition,
it is not the only relevant tool.
"Switzerland takes the view that all Parties to the Paris Agreement with the capacity to do so should provide support to those who
need such support."

Going nuclear
A number of mostly Eastern European countries argue the draft report should be more positive about the role nuclear power can play
in meeting the UN's climate targets. India goes even further, arguing "almost all the chapters contain a bias against nuclear energy".

6th November 2021. (The day after the UK's Guy Fawkes celebration!)
One has to wonder which UK community they ran this survey in!

Quote:Survey says 'almost one in ten young people think Guy Fawkes designed the fork'

'There will be fireworks galore all over Southend, Billericay, Basildon, Rochford and other parts of Essex this weekend.
But according to research carried out by Perspectus Global, 40 percent of young people are unaware that bonfire night
commemorates Guy Fawke's failed attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament in 1605.

The insights agency says it surveyed 1,500 young Brits, aged 16-29, and discovered although 92 percent celebrate bonfire
night every year, as many as 40 percent were unaware of the nature of the tradition.

The date showed almost a quarter (23 percent) thought bonfire night was a “pagan festival”, while a further 17 percent thought
it was a “traditional celebration to ward off evil spirits”. When it comes to the man himself, 74 percent said they had heard of
Guy Fawkes, however one in ten (10 percent) thought he was a fictional character, while seven percent thought he was famous
for being the inventor of fireworks.

Almost one in ten (seven percent) thought he had designed the fork, while six percent insisted, he was an MP.

The study also revealed 30 percent of youngsters think the gunpowder plot was an attempt to kill Henry VIII, while nine percent
thought it was an attempt on the life of Queen Elizabeth 1. For anyone who doesn't know and maybe wants to fill in their young
relative or friend about why they might be attending firework displays this weekend, you can let them know Guy (Guido) Fawkes
planned to blow up the Houses of Parliament on November 5,1605 at the state opening, in a bid to kill King James I and members
of the commons and the Lords.

Their plot was discovered the night before the grand opening when yeoman guards searched the cellars and Fawkes was discovered
with a fuse, lamp, box of matches and thirty-six poorly hidden barrels of gunpowder. Fawkes and his co-conspirators Robert Catesby,
Thomas Winter, Thomas Percy, and John Wright were arrested and taken to the Tower of London where they were tortured before being
hung drawn and quartered on January 30 and January 31 1606.

Ellie Glason, from Perspectus Global said: “It’s great to see how many Brits hold on to and celebrate time-old traditions such as bonfire
night, even if some aren’t entirely sure of the exact meaning.”

Also according to the survey, the majority of those quizzed (52 percent) had never heard of the tradition of Penny for the Guy, where
children would build their own “Guy” out of rags and old clothes...'

Echo News:

An interesting history lesson, but the part I highlighted in red appears to be inaccurate. Catesby, Percy, and Wright (and Wright's brother Christopher) were shot and killed in a shootout at Holbeche House on the border of Stafforshire on the morning of 8 November. With medical attention they might have survived, but "the baser sort" among the sheriff's men hurriedly stripped them of their clothes (Christopher's boots were pulled off to reach his silk stockings), and left them to die. Grant, Morgan, Rookwood, and Wintour were arrested. Percy was a brother in law of the Wright brothers, having married their sister Martha.

Quote:Although Catesby and Percy escaped the executioner, their bodies were exhumed and decapitated, and their heads exhibited on spikes outside the House of Lords.[113] On a cold 30 January, Everard Digby, Robert Wintour, John Grant, and Thomas Bates, were tied to hurdles – wooden panels[149] – and dragged through the crowded streets of London to St Paul's Churchyard. Digby, the first to mount the scaffold, asked the spectators for forgiveness, and refused the attentions of a Protestant clergyman. He was stripped of his clothing, and wearing only a shirt, climbed the ladder to place his head through the noose. He was quickly cut down, and while still fully conscious was castrated, disembowelled, and then quartered, along with the three other prisoners.[150] The following day, Thomas Wintour, Ambrose Rookwood, Robert Keyes, and Guy Fawkes were hanged, drawn and quartered, opposite the building they had planned to blow up, in the Old Palace Yard at Westminster.[151] Keyes did not wait for the hangman's command and jumped from the gallows, but he survived the drop and was led to the quartering block. Although weakened by his torture, Fawkes managed to jump from the gallows and break his neck, thus avoiding the agony of the gruesome latter part of his execution.[152][153]

Steven Littleton was executed at Stafford. His cousin Humphrey, despite his co-operation with the authorities, met his end at Red Hill near Worcester.[154] Henry Garnet's execution took place on 3 May 1606.[155]

Gruesome stuff. I'm not sure why the Wright brothers were not dug up and decapitated like Catesby and Percy were. They were certainly a troublesome lot. As known recusants the brothers were on several occasions arrested for reasons of national security. Both were also members of the Earl of Essex's rebellion of 1601. Both were said to be excellent swordsmen. It might have gone better for them had they been better shots, but probably not - the sheriff had a posse of 200 men, pretty bad odds for muzzle loading weapons.

Being known as troublemakers is probably what brought us to the colonies.   tinyangry tinybiggrin

Regarding the bonfires and pagan celebrations, those folks may be partially correct. While Christian "Halloween" is celebrated on 31 October every year, and "All Saint's Day" the following day of 1 November, the actual date of the pagan Celtic Samhain festival fell this year on 5 November. It falls at the half-way point between the fall equinox and the winter solstice.

Any of those quotes make you think..... as nothing has really changed just become more refined...But... the internet has made it much harder for the purveyors of lies, thus look at the regimes around the world who block certain websites or internet providers ? Notice how some social platforms block or delete any disparaging words or topics that can point out the propaganda that is being pushed forward ?

Well TPTB have upgraded all this to "Cognitive Warfare" where they can make people believe anything. There are those who absolutely believe that well structured propaganda can create any false reality desired. Just get all the talking heads reading off the same script (MSN/CNN) and the lie becomes the truth in many people's minds .

There will always be those who will follow some designated leader blindly and enforcers to insure his commands are carried out. Under the right light salt looks just like sugar so always use a discerning eye when hearing or looking at government speak.

Some more sick crap from DOJ thank goodness for an honest judge.. Listen until the end...
There are only two shows I watch on Fox any more - "The Five" and "Tucker Carlson". I stopped watching anything else on it the instant, the very minute, that I saw Neil Cavuto cut Kaley McEnerny off mid-word when she was still White House Press secretary but evidently saying something he apparently disagreed with. I expect that sort of behavior from Marxists, who routinely make arguments that cannot stand up to scrutiny and so have to squelch dissent, but I DO NOT expect that from anyone who is actually confident of their position. Neil Cavuto showed his true colors that day, and Fox lost a viewer for most of their shows, especially his.

I almost turned "The Five" off yesterday, and definitely cringed, when Jeanine Pirro was discussing the Rittenhouse case, and mentioned "the first murder" and "the second murder". Ms. Pirro is allegedly a former lawyer and judge, and should be VERY well aware of the prejudicial nature of such statements. All killings of humans by humans are "homicides", legally speaking. "Homicide" is the killing of one human being by another, but without prejudice as to cause. Homicide is further broken down into "manslaughter", "murder", and "justifiable homicide" depending on the cause of it.

"Murder is specifically legally defined as "unjustifiable homicide" - a killing without a justifiable cause. For Ms. Pirro to declare the killings as "murder" is prejudicial as to cause, and presupposes that there was no justification for it, when all the evidence indicates that there was justification. It presumes before the fact that the case has already been determined, when it has not.

As a former judge and lawyer, she should be well aware of that. I'm not a lawyer, but even I know that from my Criminal Justice and Police training.

Also, regarding the Rittenhouse trial:

I see a lot of clueless talking heads talking about that boy breaking down in the courtroom. They refer to "crocodile tears". "lemon heads", etc. One went so far as to say that folks might interpret that as remorse, others might just see crocodile tears.

Fucking bastards. They don't know the first goddamned thing about PTSD. I'm glad for 'em that they don't, but they shouldn't be shooting their goddamned mouths off about shit they know NOTHING of.

I watched that segment. I might have shed a tear myself when he broke down. That was neither "remorse" nor "crocodile tears" nor any of the rest of the bullshit they are flinging around. That was, pure and simple, a kid reliving a trauma he should never have had to endure. He was SEEING, and FEELING,right there in front of his own eyes, shit that no one else in that courtroom could see, and no way in hell could they understand.

THAT was the face of PTSD, on public display, and not a goddamned one of those talking heads have so far realized it.

It's not always easy to kill a man. Sometimes it is, with the right mindset, but more often than not it ain't. It's harder still when you are young, and can't figure out, do not understand, why all these people in this raging mob want to kill YOU, for having done nothing but good. You're young, have not had the experience of people with unreasoning and unreasonable hatred, and do not understand WHY they are as unbalanced as they are. All you know is that they intend to kill you, and you cannot understand why... and in order to prevent that, you have to shoot some dumbasses that you cannot figure out the thought processes of.

In your young mind, you might be killing innocent but misled folks, and that is not an easy decision to make. Your hand is forced because they are trying to kill you, and you will have to live with that shit for YEARS, and may never understand why. It's not easy to kill someone you think may be redeemable with a little education, and yet have to kill in the moment, because if you don't end their threat, they will end you.

And it's all done in a kill-or-be-killed instant of panic.

Now, the fact of the matter is, none of the folks he shot were redeemable. They were the dregs of society, would never be made redeemable, and the world is better off without them. But HE doesn't know that, still, and has not come to terms with it. I know it, and you may know it, but HE does not yet know it, and was being forced to relive that awful instant and irretrievable decision in his life in a court room setting.

Some folks ae just junkyard dog mean, and need killin', but Rittenhouse has not come to that realization yet. So he suffers.

No damned wonder he broke down. I think any normal person who ain't a psychopath would have.

How dare those sanctimonious sons of bitches pass judgement on things they know nothing of, and with any luck will never be able to comprehend.

Note to talking Heads - stick with talking about something you know about, asswipes.

Note to everyone else - if someone is trying to kill you, kill that sonofabitch right back. He is already bought and paid for, and can never be made whole again. He's already made your decision for you, and has already decided against himself.

Case closed.
