I'm not sure if this joint USA an USSR joint venture took place or not.
But, I'm bringing it back to discussion with this new video, which I think is better with more questions and answers.

That's an interesting video. 

I've heard about the U.S. and Russia being partners, so to speak, in space adventures. I won't hold my breath waiting on either side to admit it though.

The video does give more credibility to the previous information put out on these fights.  But, you know me- my mind is open to entertain anything without immediately shutting it down. 

It's hard to say what all has been hidden from us, or what is put out as disinformation/misinformation these days. So, I'll just say it's possible that it's true, and equally as possible that it's false.
