Every time I see a threat of Nuclear War I'm taken back to where several people have been told that the good ETs will not allow us to use Nuclear weapons because what happens here also affects them in space and beyond.  Of course, to get any peace from that statement you would have to believe in ETs, so if you don't, I have no other words of encouragement for you.
