AMERICA FIRST!! RAA RAA RAA!!

I think our president has a bit of a "my junk is bigger than his" kind of week. This freaking guy, incredible that he ran on a platform of America first...

A fucking military option?! Is he fucking mad!?

Let's take a look at teflon Don and his drumbeat to isolationism (and by teflon, I mean rubber fucking band)

Quote:My rules of engagement are pretty simple. If we are going to intervene in a conflict it had better pose a direct threat to our interest- one definition of “direct” being a threat so obvious that most Americans will know where the hot spot is on the globe and will quickly understand why we are getting involved. The threat should be so direct that our leaders, including our president, should be able to make the case clearly and concisely, which has certainly not been the case regarding the terrible events in Yugoslavia.

At the same time, we must not get involved in a long-festering conflict for humanitarian reasons. If that’s our standard, we should have troops stationed all over Africa, and much of Asia as well

Rubber Band Playlist

Quote:“Since the end of the Cold War and the breakup of the Soviet Union, we’ve lacked a coherent foreign policy,” Trump said in his speech. This is also arguably true. From Bosnia to Kosovo to Iraq, America has bounced around from idea to idea and intervention to intervention—from the idea of “humanitarian war” to the idea of “preventive war.” There is nothing even close to the ragged consensus that existed over Cold War containment.

That's right folks, you done got yourself a man who talks hard, claims to carry a big stick, and anybody so much as FLINCHES in his direction he will ever so graciously threaten to create even more veterans of Foreign Wars (even though he and congress haven't fixed a damn thing for vets that we already have), more gold star families, more purple heart recipients, and even more fucking money into the pockets of the Military Industrial RATS that have played out presidents like a marionette ever since Eisenhower called them out in his farewell speech.

Outsider my ass. He's a damn fraud.

Sorry, Duckypoo, but I have to disagree. (I do agree he is a narcissist though.)

As for the Veterans, here is what he has done, and within 5 months of taking office. I guess CNN didn't report this.

Quote:One of President Trump’s most important promises throughout the campaign was to ensure that American veterans receive the respect and care they deserve.

Just months into his presidency, this is a promise on which he has delivered.

First, the president’s decision to nominate Dr. David Shulkin as secretary of Veterans Affairs was critical. During his earliest days in office, I observed President Trump meticulously vet and rule out dozens of people for the post. He knew the VA was gigantic and deeply flawed, and he needed someone extremely competent to run the organization – someone who could wrangle the entrenched bureaucracy without being swallowed by it.

That is what led President Trump to choose Shulkin.
Quote:Let this sink in for a moment: Before President Trump took office, it was nearly impossible to fire a bad VA employee. Underperforming VA employees got bonuses. And executives who had been disciplined in the past received full pension benefits. The VA had become a scandal-laden, bureaucratic void.

In just five months, Shulkin has helped implement a VA Office of Accountability and Whistleblower Protection, created a website to track and publish wait times at every VA hospital, drastically increased mental health services across the system, and developed a way to electronically transfer veterans’ medical records from the Department of Defense to the VA to simplify their transition from service to civilian life. Each one of these accomplishments is remarkable.  But for President Trump and Secretary Shulkin, these achievements were merely the starting point.

On Friday, President Trump signed the Veterans Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act, which is the next great breakthrough for VA reform.

This legislation gives Secretary Shulkin the authority he needs to properly deal with or fire VA employees who fail to do their jobs.
The law shortens a years-long appeals process for disciplined employees and ensures that such employees will not be paid during disciplinary appeals.
It also allows Shulkin to deny bonuses to underperforming employees and cut pensions for executives who misbehave. Under the law, VA employees who report misconduct within the organization will be protected from retaliation.

Let this sink in for a moment: Before President Trump took office and worked with the House of Representatives and the Senate to pass this bipartisan law, it was nearly impossible to fire a bad VA employee. Underperforming VA employees got bonuses. And executives who had been disciplined in the past received full pension benefits. The VA had become a scandal-laden, bureaucratic void, and only a few members of Congress were trying to do anything about it.

But this is no longer the case. As President Trump said before signing the law, these reforms are only the beginning, and “we will not rest until the job is 100 percent complete for our great veterans.”

While President Trump has been the main driver of this push to reform the VA, Speaker Paul Ryan and members of the House and Senate Veterans Affairs Committees deserve credit as well. Prior to Trump taking office, they had been working diligently to cure the ailments of the VA but did not have the support they needed from the previous administration.

As Speaker Ryan said on June 21 before Congress sent the bill to President Trump’s desk, “We all saw the scandals at the VA. We need to make sure something like this never happens again, and that the veterans get the care and treatment that they deserve, that they have earned.”

Now, with the support of President Trump and Secretary Shulkin, this is not only possible but as Shulkin said earlier this month at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast, such change at the VA would also come quickly.

He said, “that slow and incremental steady change isn’t what this organization needs. That what we need is bolder, fundamental change dealing with the issues that frankly are really hard to deal with and that go back decades. That means, by definition, we are going to have to take greater risk. That is part of what [President Trump] has asked us to do.”

This law is a perfect example of how President Trump can make the government work – something  I discuss in my #1 New York Times bestselling new book, "Understanding Trump." The VA might be the most visible example of federal incompetence, but the President has a great opportunity to work with Congress on reforms similar to the Veterans Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act to cut waste at the Department of Defense, help eliminate fraud in Medicaid and Medicare, and begin reforming the entire federal civil service.

Finally, in addition to the substance of the Veterans Accountability Law, I thought last Friday’s signing ceremony clearly demonstrated how direly needed these reforms were.

President Trump and Secretary Shulkin introduced U.S. Army Sergeant Michael Verardo, who lost a leg and an arm in Afghanistan after being deployed in 2010 with the 82nd Airborne Division. Verardo underwent 110 surgeries and years of therapy to overcome his wounds. And despite his injuries, he was fortunate. Secretary Shulkin said Friday that 37 other men with whom Verardo had been deployed did not return from their missions.

Still, Verardo came home to what he called “a broken VA system.”
Upon transitioning from the Department of Defense to the VA system, Verardo constantly battled bureaucracy. He once had to wait 57 days to get his prosthetic leg repaired. It took three-and-a-half years for the VA to properly outfit his home with accessibility equipment. During his brief speech at the signing ceremony, he described a situation where he had to make a three-hour round trip to a VA facility, so doctors there could make sure he still had his “serious combat injuries” – remember he lost two limbs.

As Secretary Shulkin said, “the VA failed Michael.”
After five months in office, President Trump has done exactly what he promised and is dismantling and reforming this abysmal VA system to ensure that no other veteran has an experience similar to Sergeant Verardo’s.  The years of corruption at the VA are over, and once again, protecting the lives of veterans, not the jobs of bureaucrats, is the priority.

Now Veterans won't have to wait months at a time to be seen at a VA hospital.

You also have the NeoCon McCain in there that needs to be kicked out of office too. He wants war so bad he can taste it, and he's been pushing Trump at every chance to go to war. He couldn't get it going with Russia, so now he's aiming for N. Korea.

@"Mystic Wanderer"  Thank You, you're right, as most of you know, my husband and I go to the VA hospital here in Phx, Az. often, sometimes twice a week.
In the last three months we've notice a BIG change as to how their staff treats and responds to the Veterans.
We've also noticed the Vet's are Happier with the care and faster appointment times.

One of the things I noticed first was, less staff sitting around on cell phones ignoring my husband and I and the Men And Women needing assistance.
It's like they are worried about their jobs or being wrote up.

We both like President Trump, The N. Korean Crap was laid in his Lap and he's not going to pay Tax Dollar Ransom Monies to The Little Dictator so he can get more Nuc's and Eat Steaks while his people eat Grass and Starve.
My husband says he knows exactly what President Trump is Doing, he's Pushing the Little Fat Boys Buttons,,,, So we can respond and take the little Ass-Hole Out.
China will Complain and threaten but they won't get involved as long as we stay well within N. Korea and not threaten their border.

Plus our Military Commanders aren't Stupid, if they thought things would go sour, they inform President Trump, He does trust them and has given his Field Commanders the Power to make Command Decision's.

Kill the Little Fat Boy and His Generals and it's over.

Besides, everyone is concerned about those Fortified Artillery canon's in the hill side, yes and so what?
Installed in the 60's and 70's, upgrade in the late 70's and 80's.
Now these 1000 canon's are in a hill side, blast doors and these doors have been shut for how many years? We don't have Satellite or Spy Plane  pictures of these Canon's with their blast doors open nor have we got information or pictures of them being fired to keep them in working order.
Now think about those Big Ass Bombs we have, don't you think they could cause those tunnels to collapse upon themselves?

If you have Canon Shells and Canon's that haven't been fired in 30, 40, 50 Years,,,,,,, You want to be the first person to pull the Trigger!! ??

OK, I hope President Trump does get a chance to rid the World and N. Korea of this little Creep!
free the people in the Slave Labor Camps and feed the people of N. Korea and allow the two Korea's to get to know each other again.

I saw in a post on FB where McCain had been appointed commander of something having to do with the military. If that's true, I'm a little worried. He'll do whatever it takes to start a major war. He's in Soros' pocket!

I think his communication skills could do with brushing-up on, I'll agree there!!

Personally, I think Trump is just sabre-rattling to appease those who want who kick the shit out of North Korea.
Now that the 'Russian collusion' rubbish has eased, the media have looked to this mild-concern because it's
easier to debate something that hasn't actually happened yet.

But it is of course, a concern if it escalates to more than just words.
China won't want the US sitting any closer and Russia certainly won't, but I can see how Kim Jong-un needs
to show his strength to his people by using strong words and a display of his Songun in the square of
Pyongyang.

He's a dictator and any alternative views or ideas are quashed by using labour camps and 're-education'
facilities. Anyone who monitors the communications of the people they rule is a organisation that doesn't
believe in trust... and 'Lil' Kim' doesn't trust.

He just wants the sanctions lifted and like a spoilt kid, he's threatening to cause trouble.
The sad part is that the 'World Police'... the USA, are the ones who're looked to -to sort it out.

If it kicks-off -and it's a big 'if', the United States will take a scolding from the United Nations and once more,
accept a quiet phone-call later from the same people, thanking them.
This is how it's been done for years.

Ain't we had about enough of going to war for other folks?

Venezuelans can handle Venezuela - or not. It's THEIR goddamned country, let 'em run it as they see fit! I can't see that we have any dog at all in that fight.

Same for Syria - what goddamned business have WE got interfering in THEIR civil war? I can see a reason to go take ISIS out, but the problem is we worry and fret more over taking Assad out than ISIS, and ISIS is the bunch who've declared war on US - Assad never has. They're poking the wrong badger there, in my opinion. If that's all we're gonna do, then why are we there at all?

I felt the same way about Iraq. We had no business screwing around in Iraq when Afghanistan was the enemy of the day, harboring folk who actually HAD attacked us. I felt then, and I feel still, that Bush took his eye off the ball in Afghanistan so he could wreak war on Iraq, when that was entirely unnecessary. Once again, we were fighting the wrong war, and putting the right one on the back burner.

Same for Korea. I give nary a shit about that mouthy little piss-ant Kimmie. It's a tempest in a tea pot, and we are paying the runt far more attention than he deserves. What about South Korea, you may ask? Hell with 'em. I ain't forgot all the demonstrations in South Korea demanding the US get out. Hell, If I had my way, we'd have left them to their fate so fast we would have left a hole in the air where we had been standing. Don't want me here? Fine, I'll haul ass, and let you fend for yourself forever after. Little Kimmie always bragging about how he's gonna attack the mainland US (to hear the MSM tell the tale)? Pfft. Put up or shut up. He ain't got shit to attack with. All he's got is a big mouth and a stick up his ass. We're paying way too much attention to that pipsqueak.

Kosovo? We had no business there as a nation, either. Kosovo was someone else's problem, not ours. No amount of paint and varnish could make it ours, either, same as all these other places I've mentioned.

Trump has 3 1/2 years left to straighten up and fly right, fulfill his promises (you know - the ones he made that got him elected in the first place) and stop stalling by throwing attention everywhere OTHER than where it ought to be, before his ass is ridden out of DC on a rail of votes.

Donald, get your shit together, FOCUS, and git 'er done... or get the hell out of the way.

Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’

Well, President Trump May Have Just used The Right Language and Attitude with N. Korea.
Quote:North Korea Backs Off Guam Missile-Attack Threat

Kim Jong Un warns he could change his mind if the U.S. persists in ‘extremely dangerous reckless actions’
Quote:SEOUL—North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has decided not to launch a threatened missile attack on Guam, Pyongyang’s state media reported on Tuesday, but warned that he could change his mind “if the Yankees persist in their extremely dangerous reckless actions.”

Little Fat Boy Kim, he must be really hurting for money, again. Bill Clinton gave him 4 billion, I think, and Obama gave him three times that much to be nice and not build more nukes.

He thought he could do the same thing over and over again and get the same result and why wouldn't he be given the money, that's how the last two efforts worked so well.  He got fooled.

Our last couple presidents have been giving money to NK every time little kimmy gets his panties in a wad.. we aren't doing that this time, so little kimmy isn't calming down.

I refuse to pay the little terrorist, so if it's war so be it. He lives on a postage stamp. We can end it fast.

I agree, except I think with little kimmy we ought to just dare him to fulfill his threats and then ignore everything that comes out of his mouth. If he puts his money where his mouth we should end it then, and end it thoroughly.
