A woman standing outside a Hindu temple was dragged to the floor by a robber who stole her gold necklace worth hundreds of pounds. Police have released CCTV of the incident in Lewisham, southeast London, on 20 June in a bid to track down those involved.

Is that a yellow tag on the back of the moped? Why not just use the technology the government has to zoom in and get the numbers off the plate? It should be easy to find out who they were (unless it's from someone who reported it stolen).
I smell a rat here. I think this should go under the heading of a false flag. I don't know if it was staged, or real, but someone is trying to keep the public in fear. But why?
Like Ms. G. said, a helmet won't stop a bullet. They could have taken these slime balls off the streets by now.

Phew! For a moment there, I thought the moped robberies were just a summer fad.

'Detectives in Hounslow are asking the public to help them identify two suspects who dislocated a woman’s arm during a violent robbery.
The incident happened around 3:20pm on Thursday, 31 August. The victim, a woman in her twenties, was sat in her car parked on Stamford Brook Avenue, west London, near the Shell petrol station, when two people on a moped drive up to her.
One of the suspects jumped off the moped and opened the passenger side door and grabbed a bag the woman was holding, which contained professional photography equipment.
She refused to let it go at which point the suspect punched her in the hand, causing her to release the bag. The suspect then jumped back on the moped. At this point the woman got out of her car and bravely grabbed her bag.
The moped pulled away and the victim was dragged along for about 20 metres before she eventually let go.
The two suspects road off towards Stamford Brook Road while the woman suffered a dislocated shoulder and a bruised hand. She is now recovering in hospital.
T/DC Rabeneck from Hounslow CID said: "A hard working woman was getting on with her day when these two individuals have targeted her and stole property she used to earn a living.
The victim bravely fought for her suitcase but suffered serious injury as the two suspects who wore dark coloured clothing made off and dragged her along the road. I hope the release of the image of them will help identify them."
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing...'

When the Metropolitan Police eventually get their their heads out of the asses and accept
the fact that this is gangland trend is immigration-related, maybe this type of crime will
decrease.
But... that'll mean a sudden change in rented housing situations, off-the-books businesses
that assist in social control and many other financial benefits that a free-movement London
accepts.
This is a true rabbit-hole and it leads to what the European Union is really about.

'This is the shocking moment a brazen moped gang try to rob a biker on a busy dual carriageway before a witness slams his car into them forcing them to flee.
The driver sends the two moped thugs flying as he hits the back of their bike seconds after they appeared to try and force a biker from his vehicle.
The footage is believed to have been filmed on the victim's helmet-cam as he travelled down the North Circular in Barnet, London, earlier this month.
It shows the biker pull up a junction alongside two masked men, who appear to be in their teens, riding a moped. One of the thugs climbs off the bike and appears to try and push the rider from his bike.
As the moped gang seem to abandon the theft a silver car hits the back of their vehicle sending them flying. The gang scramble back on their moped and flee the scene. The footage was passed to Sun Online by the UK Theft Motorcycle Group as bike gangs continue to terrorise London.
Last month two have-a-go heroes who tried to stop a bike theft spoke to Sun Online after they were brutally stabbed when a teen moped gang ambushed them. The latest attack comes amid pleas for action after a series of knife and acid attacks by blatant bike thieves across the capital.
Sun Online has previously revealed how teen gangs use social media sites including Instagram to brag about thefts and flaunt pictures of themselves with huge knives. Posts from Instagram and other social media showed vehicles are being sold on dirt cheap just hours after they were nicked, in a bid to evade cops and owners.
Shocking images showing gangs posing with huge knives and bolt cutters as they brag about thefts are posted alongside messages including "we be working when your sleeping" and "prepared for the night shift"
Met Police have said 6,822 mopeds and scooters were nicked [stolen] from the streets of London in the first five months of 2017 - compared to 11,274 in the whole of 2015.
Between 1 July 2016 and June 30 2017 7,512 motorbikes was stolen, up from 5,884 the year before...'

I'd say you're right Wallfire, because I doubt these criminals have a university loan for St. Jeremy to cancel!

And just to show it hasn't eased...
Quote:Teen boy held after double acid attack leaves man fighting for life and almost blind.
'A teenage boy has been arrested after a double acid attack left a delivery driver fighting for his life and almost blind. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of GBH today after a corrosive substance was repeatedly thrown into the face of a fast food delivery driver in east London, yesterday evening. The 32-year-old victim was stopped in Walpole Road at about 6pm by two men on a scooter, who allegedly attempted to steal his moped. He is in hospital fighting for his life with “terrible” eye injuries, police said.
Detectives are also investigating a second incident in which a corrosive substance was used in north London a short time afterwards. DCI Gordon Henderson, of Waltham Forest CID, said: "This attack has left a man fighting for his life and with terrible eye injuries. "This was an innocent man going about his work as a delivery driver, who may never see again.”
The second man – also a 32-year-old delivery driver – was approached by two men on a scooter in Yarmouth Crescent, Tottenham, who attempted to steal his moped and a corrosive substance was sprayed on his face. He was also treated in hospital – but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
It has not been established whether the two incidents are linked, but it is an active line of inquiry and detectives in Tottenham and Waltham Forest are working together...'
