Every time I see one of these articles I have to wonder what will it take to make our western countries and borders safe ? Unfortunately I figure we ain't seen nothing yet.
Quote:By Rowan Scarborough - The Washington Times - Monday, December 26, 2016
Law enforcement agencies have arrested nine Northern Virginia residents on charges of aiding the Islamic State since the terrorist group rose to power in Syria and Iraq in 2014 and launched social media propaganda to attract followers, a government message to police states.
The Northern Virginia Regional Intelligence Center issued profiles of the nine in a Dec. 21 report labeled “law enforcement sensitive.”
Quote:Of the nine Northern Virginians who were arrested, all but one were in their teens and early 20s. They included a police officer, a Starbucks barista, Army soldiers, bankers and a cabdriver. Four of the nine graduated from Northern Virginia high schools, one with honors. Two attended Northern Virginia Community College.
In other words, all of them appeared to have opportunities via public education to become successful Americans but instead were charged with what amounted to a devotion to violent jihad.
Not your usual bottom feeders, no?

I'm still waiting to hear from the Muslims that don't agree with Mr. Williams and others way of thinking.
What has C A I R (Council on American Islamic Relations), I S N A (Islamic Society of Northern America), I C N A (Islamic Circle of North America), M S A (Muslim Student Association), I R (Muslim Relief), A I F for D (American Islamic Forum for Democracy), N A I T (North American Islamic Trust), I I I of T (International Institute of Islamic Thought) just to mention a few Islamist Organizations Based Here In America, What Statements Have They Made about these radicals muslims?
Do they denounce these acts of terrorism and want to be terrorist? Or have they been Silent?
Far to many Islamic Organizations in Our Country and Why is there a Muslim Student Association?
Is there a Christian Student Association allowed in our Colleges and Universities?

As you know I was a Muslim who spent lots of time speaking out against terrorism. Eventually, I saw Islam for what it really was, but it took a while and it took fighting a losing battle against the rise of extremism from the inside.
MOST Muslims support what most consider at least extreme ideologies, ideologies at odds with our own. There is a huge support for sharia law, and to be honest, when I was Muslim I also supported sharia law in Muslim majority countries. There is a different mindset as a Muslim, as Islam rules over every aspect of your life, from self, to family, to community, to government.
Therefore, even if you are against people blowing themselves up in order to kill non believers, you may still support things like sharia law, and "moderate" Muslims, do not hold the same values as your average westerners.
What you are looking for, to be honest, is Muslim left wingers, radical Muslim left wingers.. and they are fewer than the few. Even people like me, who legitimately saw the extreme teachings as wrong enough to stand against and fight on the ideological level, were so few as to be insignificant, and people who would be radically left, so much so as to fight against the teachings of Islam itself, quite frankly they are fewer than a handful.. and I'm not certain you could find a handful.
I no longer speak against acts done in the name of Islam, because I saw that it was really them who were following Islam, and it was me who was not.. and so I left Islam.
This is why you aren't seeing many people who are fighting against the rise of extremism, it's because they do, they fight a losing battle until they too, see the truth.
There are more people in the last few years, leaving Islam than ever before in the history of Islam.. at the same time, there are people who are running toward it. And those running toward it, are those like these 9 in Virginia..

There are things the government is doing now, which is only aiding in the rise of extremism. They allow these websites to stay up who are teaching and promoting extremism, including the ones who openly recruit for groups like ISIS and others.
They say they want to allow them stay up in order to watch them but this watching means that they get to brainwash more and more people into the extremist ideology, and worse.
The same goes for mosques who teach extreme ideologies, they leave these mosques open, instead of closing them down. The ideologies they teach, are antithetical to our nation, it's constitution , and our way of life. On the extreme side, I'm sure that we can declare these places treasonous.. they are using our freedom of religion against us, and it's time to stop that.
We could legitimately declare Islam a political belief which is treasonous(or other such destinations) to the United States, and make it illegal. If we did that now, we would save ourselves a lot in the future, when they are more in number.
There are things we can do as a nation, but we aren't doing them. Instead, we are allowing them to promote their ideology and allowing extremism to grow to unheard of levels in the last couple hundred years.

For what it's worth, and it isn't much, I personally feel like the witch hunt over Islam is missing the bigger point.
Ideas...can't be controlled by a border.
Ideas can't be stopped during a police check.
Ideas can't always be known through social media posts.
Ideas can't be seen like a skin color.
Ideas can't be seen the way foreskin gave people away during Hitler's reign.
For all of the talk about Muslims I see post after post of people around the web who seem to be openly rooting on the end of days. Jesus comes back, Allah strikes back, what the F*ck are we becoming? I mean, the giddy people who talked about Obama like he was the end (and that was FANTASTIC because we get to MEET OUR "LORD") and this is acceptable? This isn't madness, this is Sparta!
That's about the only visual I have. People rooted in a way that is so damn sure of our own eventual destruction that we just sit back and let it happen.
Ok, Ban the Burkas. But while all of the know it alls are at it, ban the yamaka, ban the cross, ban all of this superstitious bullshit that has caused just about every singly bad day, year, decade, and century of this f'n existence.
Blame Islam? Whatever.
Ideas don't have borders. And what Islam is today in your eyes, Christianity was not that long ago.
Blame ideas. And the people who live by them, preach them, and are too damn afraid to open their eyes to a life that doesn't have all of the answers. A life that doesn't pretend to promise anything other than the air you breath, the people you love, and the good that you do. A life that (if we are lucky) truly does just END when our eyes close.
Because if I die, and open my eyes, only to see what ANY religion calls a "god" (and they are a real thing in front of me), I will have some choice words that I hope rigor mortis can't take away.
That's my rant
