Premiums will go up sharply next year under President Barack Obama's health care law, and many consumers will be down to just one insurer, the administration confirmed Monday. That's sure to stoke another "Obamacare" controversy days before a presidential election.

Before taxpayer-provided subsidies, premiums for a midlevel benchmark plan will increase an average of 25 percent across the 39 states served by the federally run online market, according to a report from the Department of Health and Human Services. Some states will see much bigger jumps, others less.

Moreover, about 1 in 5 consumers will only have plans from a single insurer to pick from, after major national carriers such as UnitedHealth Group, Humana and Aetna scaled back their roles.
"Consumers will be faced this year with not only big premium increases but also with a declining number of insurers participating, and that will lead to a tumultuous open enrollment period," said Larry Levitt, who tracks the health care law for the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation.
Republicans pounced on the numbers as a warning that insurance markets created by the 2010 health overhaul are teetering toward a "death spiral." Sign-up season starts Nov. 1, about a week before national elections in which the GOP remains committed to a full repeal.

"It's over for Obamacare," Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said at a campaign rally Monday evening in Tampa, Florida.
Trump said his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, "wants to double down and make it more expensive and it's not gonna work. ... Our country can't afford it, you can't afford it." He promised his own plan would deliver "great health care at a fraction of the cost."

The new numbers aren't too surprising, said Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, who chairs a committee that oversees the law. It "does little to dispel the notion we are seeing the law implode at the expense of middle-class families".

I remember a few weeks ago, think it was FOX that was reporting on it or maybe Trump mentioned it the spike in premiums, and the Obama administration downplayed it saying it wasn't true.

Appalling... TOTALLY APPALLING! 

You would think this problem alone would keep people for voting for Hillary, but...  well, it hasn't.  Apparently, there are some out there who can afford to throw their money out the window. 
At the rates people are paying, and will pay even more, it would be about the same amount to just not have insurance and pay from your pocket if you need any health care.  The odds for a lot of folks is that they will never need an expensive operation.  And if people pay attention to their health and eat right, they can avoid a lot of other diseases that lead to needing a doctor.

The thing about The Affordable Health Care plan is that Obama and Congress, and I think also the Senate, were not required to participate.
They are probably the ONLY people who CAN afford it, but they are exempt!  That raises my blood pressure every time I think about it! 

I won't be getting their insurance.  I think in the long run, it would be cheaper to pay the fine! But, I won't do that either.  I found a way to appeal that. It's a lengthy process that would go through court, but it is unconstitutional, and illegal to force it on anyone who refuses it.

I will not give my consent to be forced into this tyranny that is overtaking our country!  

If Trump can give our country good healthcare that's more affordable, and I think he will, I will gladly buy into the plan.

The chain begins with Clinton and senior policy adviser Ann O’Leary, titled, “Memo on Cadillac Tax for HRC.” Surprise, surprise, Clinton said she is open to changing her position on the Cadillac Tax, noting her desire to see the ACA destroyed almost as an afterthought:
“Given the politics now w bipartisan support including Schumer, I’ll support repeal w ‘send of the Senate’ that revenues would have to be found,” Clinton wrote. “I’d be open to a wide range of options to do that, but we have to be careful that the R version passes, which begins the unraveling of the ACA.”

Of course, given the lip service Hillary Clinton paid to the theme of the ACA on the campaign trail, it would definitely raise some eyebrows how she feels about it in private. Apparently, Clinton only claimed to be in support of it just to get votes.
Moreover, Clinton wouldn’t be able to achieve her goals of single-payer without the complete collapse of Obamacare. Get ready for much, much higher taxes if Clinton is elected president!

Americans are facing skyrocketing costs for healthcare, and they continue to go up. A single-payer system is not the answer, but don’t tell that to Hillary Clinton. Her plan has always been the same.

Clinton is just quietly biding her time until the opportunity presents itself to push this ideology on the American people. She will do it when the stakes for the entire health system are at their highest.

The first time Clinton tried this was in 1993 when her husband put her in charge of healthcare reform. Her health plan was dubbed “Hillary Care” by its detractors, and it was met with stiff opposition.

Even if Hillary is elected, all is not lost, however. There is one thing that will stop her dead in her tracks, and that is your vote. Your support of GOP representatives and senators will have an important effect on Clinton.

It will stop her dead in her tracks yet again. Socialized medicine will not be able to take effect and ruin this country.
