I heard about washing your hair with egg, decided to try it. My Brother has eggs that are fresh, but we won't eat because of cracks in the shell. I looked around to find out what they may be good for, and found out about shampooing your hair with eggs.

It is not as yucky and you think it would be, and the compliments lead me to think it really truly works.

Egg serves as an amazing hair cleanser because it is high in protein.

The protein in eggs helps to add texture and volume to even the most fine or oily hair. Eggs are full of vitamin A, D, E, B12, biotin, iodine, selenium, and pantothenic acid. All of these help for shiny and healthy hair.

I have used it on both wet and dry hair. I prefer using it on dry hair.

You know what else is high in protein?

You know what I won’t say it because I’m nice today. Fuck it.

on a serious note, never tried eggs on my hair (or whale sperm), but I am a fan of natural products and I use unrefined coconut oil regularly as a conditioner (I used to use argan oil too but the coconut sits better on my hair type). When my hair was long I used henna a lot too. Good old pure henna. I'm in the process of growing it back out now. Maybe I'll try the egg shampoo.

Words of wisdom: if you ever try henna, avoid excess protein as henna itself acts protein-ish on the hair and extra protein will make it brittle for most hair types.
