I agree, and would go one step further.  Training for essential jobs, for public interest should be the only post high school education supported by public funding.

I don't think it creates activists, I think it promotes activists.

True, just as engineers are trained, not really ‘created’, such are the muckrakers.  And they get a credential.

Universities have become ideological factories.
