Several weeks later and the pain has worked its way down my arm, through the back of the bicep to the elbow and even my wrist.... reaching for my fecking phone!!! My knees are effed too.

The reason I went to see that doc that told me I had an old skeleton was that the last two fingers on my left hand were going numb. It turned out that I have bone spurs on my spine, and those bone spurs are irritating the nerves at the spine, which is causing pain in limbs farther out than there is a good reason for. It's odd how an injury far from the site of the pain can cause a "ghost pain" where there is no apparent reason for it.
Grace has arthritis in her sacroiliac joint, that triangular plate of bone that joins the spine to the hip bones. That really has to suck, because that means ANY motion, upper body or lower body, has a potential to irritate that junction. Still, getting old together is ok, I reckon - between the two of us, we ought to be able to maintain upright, even if we have to brace each other up to do it!
