Sadly American politicians are now with this communist utopia plan , which includes also killing own citicens and is clapping hands about what is happening in Australia for example, so clearly there is zero desire to "protect freedom and democracy"
No desire among politicians, anyhow. The thing is, in order to take your freedom away, they have to come to you to cart it off. They can't take YOUR freedom by subjugating Beijing, Los Angeles, or New York, unless you are living in Beijing, Los Angeles, or New York. They have to come to YOU to take it.
That is where their plan falls apart in some areas. Some folks will just not stand still while you take away their everything.
