I believe that one can be beat if anyone tests it in Federal court. it's all in the wording of it.

@"Ninurta", I would hope so. I can't see how a person would not have the right to own a gun just because they need something to ease their pain.
I know, right? One would think that being pain-ridden would make a person grouchier, and therefore gun possession MORE dangerous in that particular individual than in one who had their pain under control.
