You want to get me started don't you? Get me riled up.
Here is the quickest (or not) version of my observations over too many years.
There are Soldiers and then there are Soldier LARP-ers. The latter like the whole deal as long as it doesn't get too hard. Too challenging. Too... sweaty. Endless touchy-feely classes are just the ticket. Don't have to do any work because you are sitting in yet another feelings class. They have new tools to bludgeon everyone with else to cover up their own insecurities of being afraid of the field/deployment/PT/road marches/or anything but 4 day weekends.
The funny part is you never see them down range doing actual Soldier stuff too much. Green Zone coffee shops are the exception. But get back stateside and there they are! They have taken over every theater or auditorium on post. They are ready to beat you up with endless power point presentations about how woke we all need to get.
The sad part is the number of sexual assaults and Soldier disappearances only seem to rise with the more "awareness training" the military does. Almost like there is a huge disconnect between the intent and the ground truth.
Great cadences by the way. I'll be singing them in my sleep now.
