Wow!! I am in awe of your ingenuity.   
My weapon choices are somewhat limited by UK law, but if push comes to shove, I have an old bra that I can repurpose into a serviceable slingshot. No need for ammo as I should be able to lob some fairly hefty rocks with it.  

Now that you mention it, did you misplace this? Those darn kids! They found it, and last I saw 'em they were looking for a tree with a fork in it... mumbling something about a "double barrel slingshot"...





But it's just hillbilly ingenuity. If you ever watched the Beverly Hillbillies, you'll recall that Jed Clampett still carried an old flintlock muzzle loader...

I think it's awesome when people keep old skills alive, we could all be so much more self sufficient.
