I am an old lady, but I am blessed to still have my mother with me. She too is an awesome woman that shocks people when they find out how old she is, but recently I have noticed she is starting to fade a bit.
My mother was a good devout Catholic girl for years. She changed to a Bible teaching church six years ago and studies the Bible daily. She is my rock. She makes more sense to me, than any Pastor or Preist I have ever spoken with.
When things look dark she reminds me the realities in life are much bigger inside our minds than they truly are, and that the size of a shadow depends on how you focus the light.
She is not burying her head in the sand. She has just decided she will live the life she is living, and will deal with the trials and tribulations that come her way, the best way she can.
She doesn't allow what the media shows to distort what she sees in front of her face. She will listen intently on what you have to say, and feels no need to agree or disagree. She keeps me grounded.
I consider you blessed that you still have your mother with you, as I consider myself blessed.
