Nah ... if it doesn't come standard on every car, they take their chances just like us. If the cops are skeered, let 'em patrol in one of those armored things 0-butt-face-barry-soetero gave 'em.
They are a much bigger target than we are as civilians, and I think that may justify upgrading vehicles. However, nothing replaces situational awareness. Even some armored vehicles can get blown to shit with IEDS. I'm half expecting those to show up next.
