Since desert sand is not usable due to the round nature of blowing sand ...

Even if it's being melted into glass?  I used to dive off the coast of Hawaii.  Know what's out there under the water?  Miles and miles and miles and miles and miles of sand.  Astonishing when you consider Hawaii is pretty much the largest mountain on Earth.  I always thought the edges of the place just fell off into the abyss.  But, not before you hit those miles and miles ... of sand.

Sounds almost like climate-hysterics to me, but I'll be watching this thread to see if I can learn something.  I caught the trailer and started the full vid, but I'm out of time ATM.
