I avoid the surface roads always.

Last time I was there (3 weeks ago) I was awoken several times over a couple of nights by flash-bangs the police were using to break up the riots.

Hallmarks of an insurgency.

It wouldn't be hard to deal with ... if the cops just went away.

Ya see, it's the cops that stop the law-abiding citizens from dealing with anarchists when the rule of law has ceased to function.

Remember those prepper acronyms: SHTF, TEOTWAWKI, WROL (without rule of law)?

Everyone wants a 'measured response'.  Well, a measured response might be gunning down everyone in the streets, finding out where they reside ... and killing everyone who lives there too.  Sounds like a good start to me.

It's the Cops job to fix this problem. The ultimate anarchy is when vigilantism takes the stage. It is the constabularies place to mete out justice, not the public at large. The police need to take action and their superiors need to take responsibility for the fallout. If those in higher up position take inappropriate action like fiirings, that's what the Court system is for.
