What do conflicting tsunami waves do, when water doesn't compress or give at all...and the two forces have nothing but raw power to bring into the meeting?

Tsunamis are waves, and they follow the physics of waves. Waves have peaks and troughs. When two peaks collide, they create a higher peak, when two troughs collide, they create a deeper trough, and when a peak and a trough collide, they cancel one another out and the result can be calculated from the height of the peak and the depth of the trough, with the final outcome being weighted towards whichever had the greater magnitude, but in any event less extreme for height or depth than in either of the first two scenarios.

Aboard a boat is the safest place to be, since it will ride the surface of any of those outcomes - it will just ride higher or lower, but still ride. What you have to worry about are rogue waves which, if encountered broadside by the boat, can flip it over. Also, if you're too close to a land mass, a tsunami will carry the cute little boat you're on several miles inland, then smash it to bits on whatever inland rocks you may encounter.

That can't be good for whomever is on the boat.
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’
