Jesus and Horus: The Similiarities in Their Stories
#2
...Great thread topic !

Quote:Thomas Jefferson felt that the authors of the Christian Scriptures/New Testament embellished stories of Jesus by adding material about many events that never happened. He felt that the authors had corrupted Jesus' message.

I pretty much feel the same way. Not only Jesus' story but holidays, sacraments, customs...most taken from somewhere else or total fabrications.

Jesus supposedly never claimed to be the son of God. He claimed to be the son of Man but was 'voted' Son of God at the Council of Constantinople...and by a small margin, some three hundred years after his death.

I always tend to avoid religious topics as Organized Religion and I don't mix together too well but I liked this thread. Good thread !
