I have wondered if there is such a thing as reincarnation as some of the stories we hear are pretty interesting; if there is such a thing it might explain how some people are today IMO... someone who hates dogs died in a past life while being eaten by dogs etc etc...Not saying it is not a possibility as it is a fairy tale like most things people believe today.
Anyway the movie is a period piece, enjoy the flick if you are into this type of action yarn.
Edit to add; No matter how great the ruler or how many people he kills he will never kill the one who will replace him.
Prayer may seem to fail when the one praying has failed to understand the power of prayer.
Prayer used as a wish list, will rarely yield more than anger, frustration, discontent, and sadness.
Just my opinion.
