In addition, I believe the current lockdowns in China are a ruse. There may be a new "lab-escaped" virus, but it ain't run of the mill covid if there is. Could be a lot more deadly, and it could be... just a ruse. An excuse to stop exports and re-ignite the US supply chain issues. I was made aware of that this afternoon, when I was informed that due to the Shanghai lockdown, supplies of Chinese goods in the US were dwindling, with no resupply in sight.
I'm thinking of starting a thread on "poor man's food", stuff that can be cooked and eaten when times are tough, because I think times may be about to get a lot tougher.
A note: Glen says "barter is taxable". Fuck that. Fuck the government. they are the ones that dropped us into this grease, and they don't get to profit off of it.
