One thing I've heard is that there is higher ground flanking the highway and the Ukrainians have troops there.

Also heard some of those vehicles didn't come down from Belarus, but over from the Kharkov way.  Lot of gas burned, if true.

They may have tanker trucks with the column.  But if those come under fire, things will really get dicey.

Those guys may be SOL, in terms of mobility.

I wouldn't recommend an A-10 type attack at this point.  The morale of ordinary Russian troops doesn't seem sky high.  But if someone manages to kill thousands of them in a mousetrap, that would probably stiffen their resolve a lot.  I think we are still at a point where this invasion can be de-fuzed as long things don't get a lot more bloody.
