Jim and his buddy use to talk about getting older and along with it comes aches/pains and more doctor visits.
(although I must admit, my Jim had very little back/leg problems. No arthritis despite years of artwork)

And yep, it takes me a little longer to get motivated in the mornings, especially when my plantar fasciitis acts up.
It helps having a sister who does therapy, because she showed me basic exercises to do, just to keep my joints 'oiled', so to speak. So as I get older (55 yo), hopefully I can keep my mobility longer. I will say, I easily get in 10,000+ steps at work daily and yes, I think of my age and push myself that much more to outdo my young coworkers. LOL
You know, it's that first motivation in the morning that gets me. I push past that, and after the joints loosen up and stop making those creaking sound effects (sounds like an old abandoned building about to collapse), I'm fine.
I'm thinking of installing a derrick over the bed to assist in that initial motivation...
