I turned 55 back on New Years Day. I didn't realize that this was it- I have finally reached "that age".
I started becoming suspicious when I woke up one day last week with severe nerve pain in my back. I thought that maybe the weather changing was what had caused it. After a few days of hugging the heating pad and consuming lots of extra strength Tylenol I felt much better and could move around normally. Unfortunately it only lasted for a day or two and then BAM!!! Right back in the same situation.
A cold front had once again moved in so I concluded it must be the weather aggravating the old bones and putting pressure on a nerve. But then last night I tossed and turned and just when I was about to flip over again....
I caught myself in mid-twist, right as I was about to hit that screaming nerve feeling. It wasn't the weather.... it was turning over in bed!
"That Age". The age where you injure yourself and suffer for days in agony just by turning over in bed!
As my mother always told me "Getting older ain't for pussies!"
