No sweat here, bro, I don't doubt what you say. You've never given me a reason to doubt, nor do you have any reason to prevaricate about such a thing, I for one trust what you say, and respect you.

Quote:I understand that getting vaccinated is an emotional topic.

It is, but it shouldn't be. The emotion usually ramps up due to fear, and there is no need for it in regards to the vaccine. If folks would just look after their own business, and let others look after theirs, then it would all sort out - but some people can't. They're too scared to. they buy all the fear the media (and social media, on the other side of the coin) can pump out, and that causes them to look at their neighbor askance, as they believe, due to the hype, that the neighbor in question might sneeze and kill their granny. If it scares them that badly, they ought to counsel granny to stay away from unvaccinated neighbors, problem solved. What doesn't solve it is trying to force people into doing things they don't want to, or force them to not do things they DO want to. That never ends well.

I'm neither afraid of vaccinated people nor unvaccinated people. Their life, their decision, It doesn't affect me either way they go. As I mentioned previously, most of my family has gotten vaccinated. I don't shun them for it, I don't avoid them, nor do I pat them on the back for it, and I sure as hell don't give them a ration of crap for it - you'd have to know my family to understand what a bad idea it is to let them get their asses up on their shoulders over nothing. Their life, their decision, and they know better what is best for them than I do.

Same goes for everyone. I don't want the responsibility for the potential results if I were to either talk them into it or talk them out of it. It could go hard either way, so I don't make up their minds for them. Only they can do that. My only responsibility is to respect whatever decision they make.

Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’
