Radiation and temperature.
I guess folks would have to live underground to avoid getting fried and have less volatile temperature swings. I guess that makes it sort of easy. Dig big hole, emplace structure, bury it. Repeat. Make connecting tunnels.
Obviously they would come outside to do work and science stuff. Then it's back in the hole.
Don't know if I could stay there that long though. Looking at the same faces, dirt, and rocks for months on end would get me loopy. Almost like Iraq
