I Think Our Hawk Has Lost Its Mate
#24
Well the two have been doing fine. I usually see them at least once a day, sometimes together, sometimes not.

I don't know if it was a gift or not, but the male grabbed a huge fish from the pond and it was too big for him to carry too far.

This is not an unusual occurrence, normally if they or the eagle drop a fish on my property, they will just eat it where it landed. This time he dropped it in the road and he would not risk trying to pick up because a neighbor drove by at just the inopportune time.

I picked it up and put it on the property, out of the road, but he wouldn't come back for it. So I split it up among the dogs and the cats. Enoch didn't want anything to do with it, and Sylvester didn't eat much, but my four Huskies ate with wagging tails, happy to eat what Enoch and Sylvester didn't eat.

I am sure Boy Hawk had better luck afterwards.

For every one person that read this post. About 7.99 billion have not.

Yet I still post.  tinyinlove
