We here in North Carolina have the 'Blue Ridge Parkway' 'the tail of the Dragon' 
My Daughter spent the last two weeks enjoying the scenery, it's about 150 miles from here  'home' and the colors were fabulous. She encountered a bit of sprinkles but it was intensly beautiful for her

And yes it does take All Day.... that's the beauty of getting fully re-charged and flushing the pedantic daily garbage from one's life. And Emerging "On Top of the World'

I’ll bet it was beautiful. I’m glad she had a nice time.

The trees here hadn’t fully changed yet. I’m going to try talking my husband into going back with me in a few days when he’s off work. Maybe even stay a night before traveling back home. It was dark on my way back and there were deer everywhere. I barely missed hitting one.

OH Gosh...... I hate Deer for that very reason. I have hit one to the tune of about $700, my Daughter also hit one. Bought a new car at her dealership, got her dream car, never the less, Oh I do NOT like Deer. Be Safe..... Night is Risky.

We’ve learned to drive slower at night. My husband hit I think three deer in his old car. The front was messed up and the passenger side door would hardly open. It didn’t bother him though and he still drove it because he said as long as it was running he didn’t need a new one. My mom hit one leaving my house several years and totaled hers. 

There is a spot that they mostly cross and I slow way down when I get to that area.
