Well, after growing up in a household with ten children +, I can assure you the truth that each tells is their own truth.
It is amazing how viciously we will hold on to a lie when we want so hard to believe, that even when provided the freedom of truth, we would rather drown in the lie.
Governments that are ruled by man are constructed to maintain the government, not the people.
For those that believe the Bible as truth, or those that think it is just as a history book, one thing I think we can agree on, is that it got it right when it warned Israel against the taking of a human king. Everything it warned would happen did. And we haven't learned a darn thing.
If nothing else, the Bible is a lesson in how man continues to repeat himself.
Makes you wonder just how smart any of us really are.
