Crazy is just crazy - it doesn't always need a government hand to push it over the edge, it just is, and sometimes jumps.
Because it's crazy.
I think the more important takeaway from this unfortunate incident is not to get involved with crazy - at least not to the point that it might want to do you in just before it does itself in. That might mean you are perhaps just a little not right yourself, in order to even WANT to get involved with crazy.
That advice is going to be met by deaf ears, of course. College kids are like rabbits, and college campuses are so eat up with crazy that nearly any of their potential lust buddies is going to be...
