I am old, so I probably don't count, but I played this over and over, and no matter which word I was reading, all I ever heard was "green needle" or "brain needle". I never heard the work "storm" at all.
I don't know why it changed from green needle to brain needle, but it didn't seem to be related to the reading of the word, because I would hear then both interchangeably.
