Do Gender Studies programs create activists?

When I go to a bank for a business loan, they make sure that I have a solid plan before they give me a loan.   Why not the same for student loans?

Because they don't expect to get the money from the student. They plan to hound the parents into the grave. My mother didn't sign for my sister's student loan and they still came after her with both feet.

It worked though, because my sister was so upset they were harassing my Mom, that she paid off her loan.
