Brings me back to playing out. In my time the places smelled of cigarette smoke and spilled beer. I can almost get that scent looking at your pictures. Thanks for sharing!!
I have a few on this Ipad, they are not the best quality but I can’t be blamed as I didn’t take them!
Look like I’m in my early 30’s in these
1st photo was a gig in Bath, with my ESP Lynch skull n snake guitar. The singer Tom was using my BC Rich
I’m using my daughters line 6 flexy combo as couldn’t be arsed to bring full rig. To be honest it sounded great and the PA guy was pretty decent.
One of the bands after us used my lil amp and he just could not stop it from feed-backing using the setting I used with his guitar.( modern high gain soldano )so I had to get up on stage and gate it
Next photo was another band 18th birthday booking
Using my old LP, switchblade head and 4 x 12 with Parker fly for backup
It was one of those wrong bands at the wrong gig events, we all get them!
Next photo, at rehearsals with my old drummer. have ear defenders on here as he always hit cymbals hard!
Guitar is my favourite Fender Road house Strat with JB jnr in the bridge
This must be early 40s, great cover band. Can hardly see me, again not guilty didn’t take shot.
Thats an older PRS custom 22 with a fixed bridge I’m playing. The type of PRS that had no switches but volume and tone pots! Amp wise, must have been line 6 Vetta head and 2 sets of matching 2 x 12s
I notice my Gin and Tonics are within reach on PA bass speaker
