Maybe a bit OT but here in Finland there was a news report that a university had solved the cost problem of removing CO2 from the air and converting it into very clean synthetic fuel, petrol or diesel. They would be able to produce enough fuel for all of Finland's needs and to be able to export it. The same uni is also close to be able to produce hydrogen much more cheaply than at the moment.
The price of the fuel at the pump should be the same or even cheaper.
The big question is will the government run with this or follow the religion of man made climate change
