Trump: U.S. must "start thinking about" racial profiling

Trump says that he does not like idea of profiling, but it is something that our country needs to look into as another means of preventing possible attacks.

Donald Trump said Sunday that in the wake of the mass shooting in Orlando, it's time for the United States to start looking at racial profiling as a preventative tactic.


"Well I think profiling is something that we're going to have to start thinking about as a country," the presumptive GOP nominee said in a phone interview with CBS' "Face the Nation. "Other countries do it, you look at Israel and you look at others, they do it and they do it successfully.
And I hate the concept of profiling but we have to start using common sense and we have to use our heads."
"It's not the worst thing to do," he added.

But of course, since it was Trump that mentioned it, many people are unsettled by it, even tho profiling has been brought up before in the past.

Profiling is used in many countries when stopping drug mules, as well as terrorists.



Trump also mentioned peaceful Muslims themselves need to 'speak up and say something' when they notice something suspicious in their community.

On Sunday, the GOP politician also said attacks like Orlando would stop if those in the Muslim community would "report" suspicious things.

Now that is one point that I think many would agree with.
As it is right now, no one in the peaceful Muslim community says anything, one way or the other.
They just remain silent.
And that needs to change.



But profiling, even tho it is controversial for many, I would be okay with especially if more attacks on American soil happen.
To be honest, some profiling probably occurs anyway just not publicized.
