Kroger Employee Refuses Service To Cop - senona - 10-14-2016 Then The Company’s Response Response Was Awful. Quote:Alexandria, Louisiana – An employee at the Alexandria Kroger store refused to serve a police officer because they were a cop, and the company’s response has been less than stellar. Source I am getting so sick and tired of this asinine, ignorant behavior towards cops. Especially from the employees of a business. The last I remember, the motto "Right to Refuse Service" applies to the store OWNER or MANAGER, not a damn employee. Since when are employees givin' free reign over the customers? And who in the hell is going to come to their aid when someone calls 911 for robbery or any other criminal act? Santa Claus? Oh wait, I know.....BLM This supervisor needs to be reprimanded as well IMO. His response was terrible ..."We have to check customers out" WTH does that mean? Never once has anyone asked me what I do for a living. EVER. And yes, I have been to that Kroger in LA years ago. You know what? No one cared about me enough to ask anything. So I call bullshit on that deplorable excuse of an explanation. Then he wanted to get an attitude when she mentioned the media. Oh yeah, he thought that wasn't nice. Hey asshole, your cashier was much more rude than that!! Businesses need to keep their employees in check. The local police are the ones to provide your store safety. Need to leave the political statements outside the ring and tell your cashiers that if they refuse to wait on someone, they can loose their job. What you are doing is discriminating against the police. Do you really think that is a smart move to alienate yourself from them? Bet your cashier will be the first one to hightail it out of their, if the SHTF for some reason. pfffft. #BlueLivesMatter RE: Kroger Employee Refuses Service To Cop - guohua - 10-14-2016 They should have Fired The P O S! I hope they did, your place of employment is NOT Where You Make Your Political Statement. That is what I am having an issue with, that the employees are allowed to act in such a manner. What they do in their 'off time' at home is one thing. But they need to leave their political angst at home, not be able to bring it to work. And store managers ought to make it clear they will not condone such treatment towards LEO from employees being as not only are they a paying customer (discrimination laws and what not) but they also provide security for the store. RE: Kroger Employee Refuses Service To Cop - senona - 10-14-2016 UPDATE on response from Kroger: Kroger Response To Refusing Service To Police Officer Kroger has responded to their employees refusing service to a police officer in Alexandria, Louisiana and Spring, Texas. A Kroger corporate representative reached out to us with the following: Quote: RE: Kroger Employee Refuses Service To Cop - senona - 10-14-2016 And from the same source link above, is comments from the local police department... Quote:The Pineville Police Department also addressed the incident: RE: Kroger Employee Refuses Service To Cop - Mystic Wanderer - 10-14-2016 This makes me sick to my stomach! If that woman ever needs help in the future the police should respond, "Sorry, I can't serve you because you don't like police", or some other stupid shit like that. I know they would protect her anyway, because that's what police do: They rise ABOVE the lower standards of some of the people they serve. But, it would still be nice to teach this bitch a lesson! I didn't notice them saying the bitch would be fired. I'm not racist, and the comment I'm about to make isn't meant to be racist, but to make a point... Most businesses will treat black people differently because they are afraid of getting hit with a discrimination law suit if they fire them. It didn't mention that the employee was black, but I can tell she probably was. That kind of behavior says all I need to know. I worked in a large facility with many employees, and I recognize... well, never mind. I'll stop there before I get myself in trouble with the viewers. But, anyhow, the difference in how whites and blacks were reprimanded for the same "mistake" was very noticeable. Blacks got away with things that whites would be fired for.... and they knew it, so they took advantage of the color of their skin giving them more freedom to do things others could never do. It's getting to the point that whites need to start suing for discrimination because of the color of their skin, at least where I worked. RE: Kroger Employee Refuses Service To Cop - Daitengu - 10-14-2016 Sounds like time for the blue flu .... will write mc for all the police over there to take the next 6 months off and get some much needed rest .... let the idiot public fend for their own useless hides ..... |
