My sweet son is here!!! - ancientlight - 08-30-2022

He's heading by bus (with his uncle) , right now, from Orlando.  After a long trip (from 5 am Swedish time).
He left to live with his father right before his sixth birthday.  I missed every birthday since (including his last 11th).
Me and his father are on good terms, nothing bad like that .
He will live with me again now (I will home-school him )

But for years I saw him twice a year for a few weeks. And now, I've last since him since January 27th  tinybighuh
Sooo , I have several heart shaped blown up balloons floating about  & waiting to go pick him up from the bus station  tinyinbiglove
He HATES everything I do towards him with hearts  tinylaughing

I'm so excited , yet nervous ! How is that even possible !  minusculebiggrin

Resisting the need to know more about these submarine-bus routes from Florida to Sweden (just joking!) tinybiggrin
I'm genuinely over-the-moon for your happiness.

Have a great time with your son.

ha ha, ol pop's ain't dumb send to him to momma's house before he reaches teenage years when he won't and don't listen to a damn thing you say, and does his own thing. you should be nervous. at least you'll get a couple of the kid years.

nah just kidding, glad to hear your son is coming to live with you. every son needs his mother no matter what anybody says.

I hope home schooling goes well.

Three of my nephews were home schooled, and graduated with several college courses under their belt, and college scholarships.

From my personal experience, many of the home schooled students are scholastically superior than most public school students.

Thank you all  minusculebiggrin I've given him so many kisses & hugs , catching up  tinyinbiglove
I'm a bit worried how home-schooling will go, especially with English not being his primary language, but he's very smart & wise well beyond his years  tinyinlove

Check out the home schooling network in your area.

My nephew's were very socially engaged with the network group in their area. They even had assistance and tutoring from local college student volunteers.

There are more groups and organizations then you have probably imagined.

You are not alone, the number of homeschooling parents has greatly increased.

Research, check with the local library, colleges, and check Facebook for local groups.
