Gobekli Tepe is the closest thing to proof that the Ancient Egyptians are nothing more than a follow-on civilization.
There were civilized people on the planet at least 10,000 years before the Ancient Egyptians made up tales as to how the pyramids were built. There was a more ancient culture who had mastered the art of flight. There was a culture who could construct megalithic structures ... because it was easy for them to do.
