RN Information Guide - senona - 05-16-2016 Member Profile Preferences
As a RN member, you are given various options as to how you would like the site to work for you. You can adjust those options, such as deciding between a dark theme and a light theme, from your profile area Simply go to "User CP" (User control panel) that can be found on top left of navigation bar From there, you will find all kinds of settings, including your private messages and edit profile When you click on "EDIT OPTIONS" that is where you will find message settings, date & time setting, forum display options, thread options To set the theme to a different setting, look down to right bottom corner and you will see "BOARD STYLE" When done updating options, just make sure to hit "Update Options" for them to save You can also find the option to change themes at the very bottom right corner of each page as well, for easy switching (The default theme is light) Select one and then hit "GO" RE: Rogue-Nation Information Help Center - senona - 05-17-2016 What is Portal?
At the top, you will see a bell icon with "PORTAL" beside it
The Portal Page is a page where you can get the latest updates in terms of threads, posts on the forum, new private messages received, announcements and who is online.

You will find the settings for avatar in your User CP
Go down the left side until you see "CHANGE AVATAR"
The max size for avatars is 200px wide by 400px tall (200x400)
If you want to upload from computer, simply click "Browse" and then click ''CHANGE AVATAR"

To make a thread, go to the forum category that your topic would go under
For instance, a political topic might go under "Political News and more" Click that forum and it will take you to it's thread topics Look to the right, and you will see a button for "POST THREAD" Click it...... Once you hit post new thread, you will see all the various editing tools needed
And yes.....there is a preview window as well Just make sure you have the title to the topic inserted, or it will give you message error
(Thread Subject=Title of Topic)
Please remember when making a thread topic, to include the following:
*NOTE: to place article content in a quote box, you can click on the quote button on the far top right and copy/paste text into the box. To find the discussion categories, you can either click on the Rogue-Nation banner at top, or click on the "Discussion Forum" shown on left side of page
______________________________________________________________________________________ As well as small at bottom of page There you will find various topics, ranging from politics, history, social unrest to the paranormal, conspiracies, tech, science, space and so much more!!
The sub-categories themselves can be closed up for those that you may not be interested in and therefore, not taking up as much room on page
Simply look for the small white rectangle icon on far right in the topic header
Say you really don't care for world news, you can close the sub-categories
This is what it looks like closed...
To open it again, simply hit the small white rectangle icon and all the sub-cats will reappear

When typing a post, to quote someone directly, you can select the "REPLY" button at bottom right of post area
You can however, still manually insert the quote code tags if you desire as shown below: Code: [quote]insert text here[/quote] That is different from posting a "NEW REPLY" that can be found at top of thread or on bottom
New reply is just that, new
To edit a post, go to bottom right of post and click on "EDIT" It will give you 2 choices
For quick edit make needed changes, then hit "SAVE CHANGES" on bottom left (or cancel edit) A full edit will have the post show up in it's entirety, images and all. What is a saved draft?
If you start a thread or post, you now can save it to finish up later
To go back to your saved draft
>go to User CP
>look to the bottom under 'Miscellaneous' and find "SAVED DRAFTS"

At the top right of a thread, you will see 5 stars that you can rate a thread topic by

What is a signature?
A signature is the small space at bottom of your post, where you can input a saying, link or image
You can edit the sig from your 'User CP' settings
> Look down until you see "CHANGE SIGNATURE"

When posting images, simply click on the image icon at top that is to the left of the 'envelope' When the window pops open, simply copy/paste the image url in there and hit 'INSERT'
(no need to worry about width/height)

To post videos, click on the video icon at top next to the smiley box
When the window pops open, select which type of video (youtube for example)
-Remove the http// code that is in there first -Simply copy/past the video url address in there and hit INSERT
